‘Simply unacceptable.’ Gavin Newsom says California rolling blackouts can’t happen again

In response to a weekend of power outages caused by a heat wave of triple-digit temperatures, and ahead of anticipated blackouts through Wednesday, Gov. Gavin Newsom issued a stark statement during a Monday press conference in response to the crisis: this can’t happen again.

Newsom said as governor, he was “ultimately accountable” for the energy failure that left some households without power on Friday and Saturday amid temperatures cruising past 100, and that he’d now “take responsibility to immediately address this issue and move forward to simply make sure this never happens again in the state of California.”

But he said he wasn’t alerted until Friday that California was at risk of rolling blackouts.

“Let me make this crystal clear,” Newsom said. “We failed to predict and plan these shortages, and that’s simply unacceptable.”

Californians up and down the state faced scorching heat this past weekend.

I thought the blackouts were to try to limit wildfires in the state. Are they willing to let cities burn?

720,000 tons of blade material to dispose of over the next 20 years

And the irony of all ironies, they announced a couple days ago that the ideal disposal site for those monstrosities is...wait for it...shut down coal mines!

Maybe we need to keep mining coal to keep the lights on AND create places to dispose of that ridiculous wind trash.

They started to shut down at 88% capacity, and shut down at 94%. They’re not supposed to start until 92%, and they’re not supposed to shut down until 97%.

Those numbers are based upon the turbines being operated under standard ISO conditions. 60 degrees Fahrenheit. It is 40 degrees plus warmer than that. The capacity of the grid is significantly less than its rated value.

Yep, and all those people with partially blown fuses will be fined if they don’t immediately replace them.

Wifey made a remark a few days ago: “Newsom is not very smart, is he?” I told her he is Aunt Nancy’s puppet. The entire family of Brown, Pelosi, and Newsom are incestuous, Marxist politicians going back to the 1950s.”

Obvious solution: We need power generation that works no matter what the sun and wind do because they’re not 100% reliable.

Democrat solution: Hey! You greedy Fascists stop needing so much power to run your businesses! That’s it, we’re raising your taxes.

To: technically right

Pin on a disingenuous expression and say, “The Governor told us the rolling blackouts were ‘simply unacceptable’.”

Same issue with solar panels...

Wouldn’t it be fun to figure out exactly how many Hollywood and Nanci Pelosi types actually experienced these rolling blackouts.

Guaranteed that Pelosi has a $5K standby electric generator at their multi-million dollar homes. Easy to tell: just see if the lights are on in her home when the power goes out!

An inttrepid reporter in San Francisco should be out there monitoring this.
