They Caved: Project Veritas' James O'Keefe Emerges Victorious in Second Amendment Fight With FBI

Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe tried to buy a firearm and was denied a few days ago. He later discovered that he was on the prohibited person list regarding the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Was this an error? Was this over his investigative reporting? The Federal Bureau of Investigation put him on that list. What’s going on? O’Keefe is not a convicted felon. So, it’s no shocker that when he found out his constitutional right to own firearms was infringed upon, he sued. He filed a lawsuit against the FBI earlier this month.

And now, we’ve learned that Mr. O’Keefe has emerged victorious. Furthermore, some key allies in the Second Amendment fight, like Richard Heller, who was the driving force behind the landmark DC v. Heller decision that gutted the city’s handgun ban, said that O’Keefe should pursue finding those who messed with his rights. He added that the FBI doesn’t do things by accident (via Project Veritas):

I wonder, if you truly are not a convicted felon and are not otherwise barred from owning a gun. Are you actually breaking any laws if you get one through other means (such as from an individual without a background check) just because you're name was mistakenly put on a list?

I mean I read the text of the law and it says you are barred from owning or purchasing a gun for a "felony conviction" not "because your name is on an FBI list".

“...the FBI doesn’t do things by accident...”
******************************************
That’s for sure.

The ONLY thing that will STOP the FBI’s movement towards becoming America’s Stasi is to do the same thing that was done for the VA... MAKE REMOVAL OF BAD FBI STAFFERS MUCH EASIER. Eliminate the barriers. The FBI’s Oppressors of Americans think they AND THEIR BELOVED PENSIONS AND RETIREMENT BENEFITS are sure things. Let’s put the fear of God into their black hearts.

O’Keefe should pursue finding those who messed with his rights.

Good luck with that.

Chrissy pussy wray blocks the AG, Durham, and a multitude of senators from basic info.

It will take years to untangle this web of lies.

The FBI should be disbanded.

It is not "defund the police" it is "Disband the FBI".

The FBI is more corrupt than the mafia, we expect the mafia to be crooks and killers.

We gave the power of murder, sedition, arrest, confiscation and legal black mail to the FBI, to be used for us, not against us.

The FBI is 99% corrupt and the 1% that is clean, have only been there since August 1, 2020, and haven't even received their first pay check.

O'Keefe wasn't put on a 'no guns for you' list by Comey or Wray or Strzok or McCabe. One of those so-called honest, ethichal law enforcement pros abused their power to harass a US citizen for no reason other than pure partisan meanness.

and not one of the corrupt bureaucrats is going to get subpoenaed for violating Mr. O'Keefe's rights. They need to be treated like a RICO organization.

>>I too hope they find and fire the person that added him to the database.

You are too lenient. Whoever added him to that list needs to be imprisoned for deprivation of civil liberties under color of authority. They should lose their pension, and be thrown in GenPop where all tge prisoneds know that they were Feds.

The anti-gun bigots want the ability for ANY government agent too have the ability to anonymously put any citizen on a secret no-buy list. There will be no provision to find out who is on the list or why their name is on it.

Agreed, the FBI should be taken apart department by department, then reassembled piece by rotting piece..... they have proven they are rotten and stinky to the core.

The FBI is truly not the organization of law enforcement it once was. I’m shocked that some DEMOCRAT did this to O’Keefe.

Not fired. Deprivation of rights under color of authority is a criminal offense.

So first a civil suit, then when the money is harvested, criminal prosecution.

You and I were thinking the same, except I was also thinking civil litigation first so O’Keefe and the lawyers get all the guy’s life savings, THEN prosecution and imprisonment. He doesn’t need money in his new home.

I am not of the mindset that the FBI has ever been honorable. Were they were created to cover up the McKinley assassination or protect those involved in the modern slave trade (see Mann Act)? A known pedophile, J. Edgar Hoover shaped the organization for almost fifty years as well as created the model of “honey pot” entrapments that Epstein employed successfully against elected politicians.

Probably talking about pre-Brady Bill.
You could order guns from the Sears catalogue up until the mid to late 60’s.

The evidence Hoover was a cross dresser comes from KGB file secreted into the National Archives. I’m no fan of Hoover’s, but stop repeating this Soviet disinformation.
