I bet he’s looking forward to it too, and maybe even more than Mike Pence lets on here. Most of this interview with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity last night consists of standard campaign fare. Pence calls Kamala Harris the most liberal member of the Senate (true) and provides a rundown of Team Trump’s arguments against Harris and Joe Biden. Pence does a good job of laying out those arguments with his usual polish, as one would expect from an experienced campaigner.
It’s his enthusiasm for the debate where Pence’s polish gives way ever so slightly to chops-licking:

If you want to a preview of the Kamala who’s going to show up at the debate, watch videos of her at the Brett Kavanaugh hearing. That’s the “badass” Kamala that the media loves her half-dozen fans adulate. It’ll be full-on, self-righteous, know-it-all prosecutorial attack mode. Never mind that, as in the Kavanaugh case, the facts aren’t on her side. She will almost certainly put on a show that will thrill her base (i.e., the media) and prompt “you go, girl”-type comments from Oprah and her ilk. And the media will anoint her the greatest debater since Cicero. And t-shirts will be printed up.
... and then Trump/Pence’s share of the white male vote will jump from 63% in 2016 to 70% this time.

Kaine is a white male. The tightrope Pence will have to walk when debating a woman, especially a woman “of COLOR”, will be tricky. If anyone can pull it off, though, I think he can.

The hell with it, go for the juggler early and often. Reason: she wouldn’t give a damn about any niceties extended her way. She’s cunning and ruthless, to say the least.
Mike Pence could keep a straight face while standing at the epicenter of an 8.5 earthquake.
Kamala will be trying to either trip him up word wise, to look out of date, or position Mike as a heartless automaton operated by Trump.
If you are old enough, recall that pivotal moment when Dukakis debated GHWB back in 1988. There was a question, something like if Kitty was raped and murdered, would you then be in favor of the death penalty? Mike said, No, he would not be changed by that. There are better ways to enforce the law. Dukakis provided a very lawyerly answer.
Many people saw that as someone who
either didn’t really love his wife, or was weak in character.

Pence has grown taller heading up the virus fight. He will be a gentleman.

Democrats weren’t happy with his votes against abortion and on being the only democrat to vote NO on allowing men to to call themselves a women and compete with women in college sports.
Those who live in Chicago already voted at their local public library. But in the reshaped 3rd Congressional district Daniel Lipinski lost because of redistricting. Which had previously included adjacent Chicago city wards to his 23rd in a district that dealt exclusively with city issues such as a subway L service and the Stevenson Expressway Wards which were reliable Dan’s father William O Lipinski supporters. But since most had areas with hispanic last names those areas were redistricted and assigned to Gutieriez’s district. Those results are posted below which actually tear up the concept of a neighborhood and pit people against each other by using division.

Pence ain’t the one that needs to be careful - we have a man with nothing in the closet and we have a woman who is a prostitute and who has zero convictions except to blow/screw anyone who can help her and spit on and screw those who get fooled into voting for her later down the road...
