Libertarian Party presidential nominee Jo Jorgensen praised a company for firing an employee who had posted all lives matter on her private Facebook page as an example of the free market standing up against systemic racism.
Yes, really.
During a C-SPAN interview, Jorgensen argued that Rosa Parks was discriminated against because, what a lot of people dont realize is that that was a government-owned, government-run bus, and the only way that racism was able to go on for so long was the government was putting it into place.
She then claimed that its harder for private companies to engage in systemic racism because they would go out of business, before celebrating the fact that a woman lost her job for posting all lives matter on her Facebook page.
There was a woman who on her private Facebook this was highly publicized her private Facebook put All Lives Matter, and the company fired her, Jorgensen stated.
And what Id like to make note of she wasnt talking to or wasnt tweeting a coworker, an employee, a customer, a client, anybody like that, and this was her private Facebook, not the company Facebook, and yet the company said OK, we dont tolerate that.'
Maybe someone should point out to Jorgensen that saying all lives matter isnt remotely racist and that disagreeing with this statement is in fact a racist position.
Under her ideal system, woke corporations would feel even more empowered to trample free speech, opening up millions more Americans to be viciously targeted by cancel culture mobs who intimidate and bully companies into policing their employees behavior.

Jorgensen also claimed that private companies cannot discriminate as easily and get off as scot-free as the federal government.
Presumably she missed the last 4 years of rampant social media censorship, which has overwhelming targeted libertarians and conservatives.
No wonder the Libertarian Party is a national joke.
Jorgensen makes Gary Johnson look like a bastion of logic and credibility.
And really the libertarians are supposed to to champion everyone’s liberty, which includes their lives obviously. So this idiot completely betrays the whole reason for being libertarian.
In 2016, Johnson & Weld got the most votes (4.5 million) and highest percentage (3.3%) in Libertarian Party history.
Their platform was absurd.
Johnson publicly campaigned for Open Borders and Amnesty.
Weld publicly stated he would vote for Hillary if we was not on the Libertarian ticket.
The Green Party + the Libertarians got almost 6 million votes in 2016.
Fair Warning - zero Democrats are going to throw away their votes on a Third Party candidate in 2020!
Maybe, but Dem "enthusiasm" for Biden is pretty low, while GOP "enthusiasm" for Trump is high.
She is a POLICE HATER. She is a POS.
With this complete and utter moron as the LP party candidate, New Mexico might possibly be in play this year!
“Losertarians”
Most Libertarian can’t make a decision until the winner is decided. Then they come forward.
Is there a difference these days between liberal and libertarian?
In 2016 I couldn’t tell the difference between the Libertarian platform and the Democratic platform. Will that happen again this year?
“As I always suspected, libertarians are just liberals who are afraid of the title.”
Their party is a joke.
The Libertarian Party just went full retard.
They can get very annoying sometimes... I am surprised JimRob tolerates them so much sometimes, especially when they start pushing for their own politicians (even if the liebertarians are listed as Rs).
There are a couple of new ones here that are doing just that, but I bite my tongue and just skip their bs.
Nothing worse than the FAR-LEFT liberaltarians on this site posting drug crap. They make the DUmmies look rightwing.
For years the Republican Party has fought for “at-will” employment. IOW your employer can fire you at any time for any reason. How’s that working out for us?
Sadly this is not a 1st Amendment issue. The 1st Amendment states that *Congress* may make no law restricting freedom of speech. It says nothing about what a private company may or may not do. If you tell your boss he is a moron the 1st Amendment will not protect you.
Yup the libertarian party has been taken over by con men and grifters.
Libertardian = LBAN (Leftist By Another Name)
Let’s hope that she and Kanye can steal millions of votes from Biden.
I couldn't tell you if there was no ordinance of any kind. (Dennis probably knows.) But I kind of doubt a bunch of businessmen offered to lay out their own money for a share in a bus company that had no chance at all of making its own decision.
Even if there was an ordinance, a private move with money behind it is the most powerful way to show it can be done. If it works, the ordinance falls into disuse and is eventually abolished. That's the normal way, and the most common way, for social customs to change--without starting a war over it.
Look on the bright side. This loony bitch may take votes from the Demonrats as a first for this execrable party that has cost the GOP many key races.
