The Trump campaign trolled Joe Biden (D) — who has refused to hold in-person campaign events and continues to, largely, reside in his basement — in an August 6 letter to the Commission on Presidential Debates, while asking for a guarantee that the former vice president will “definitely appear on stage, in person.”
The Trump campaign this week asked the commission for the addition of a fourth, or earlier, debate. While the commission did not approve of the request, it left the door open, telling the Trump campaign that it would consider a fourth debate “if the candidates were to agree that they wished to add to that schedule.”
“We are disappointed in your response, but appreciate your openness to a fourth, or earlier, debate ‘[i]f the candidates were to agree that they wished to add to that schedule,'” Trump attorney Rudy Giulini wrote in the letter.
“Your reply makes it clear that the idea of an earlier debate is, in effect, locked away in the basement, alone and diminished,” he said in an apparent jab at Biden, while seeking assurance that the former vice president will appear on the debate stage “in person”:
Since your current refusal to consider an additional debate or an earlier date is based on Mr. Biden’s unwillingness to agree, it would be logical to assume that any further changes to debate arrangements would hinge on his opinion. We must insist on a commitment that the two candidates will definitely appear on stage, in person – whether in a television studio without an audience or elsewhere – and not through separate, online transmissions where Mr. Biden could rely on notes, teleprompter, or handlers.

This needs to be a campaign slogan on billboards. In bold letters. Including the "hell" word.
Maybe the Biden camp will agree to let the moderators stand in his stead. They can ask the questions and then answer the questions on his behalf. Cut out the middle man.
Canned phrases such as "Hey, Man!"
And Donald Trump should reply "You forgot my name again?"

I have seen alzheimers up close as many have. They hung on to comfort phrases until finally those canned phrases were pretty much all that was left. I’m sure we will get quite a few c’mon man’s. Someone should count them.
Every answer will start with, “C’MON, MAN!!!”
As Sleepy Joe does softball interviews in his basement, I’ve wondered how many people are behind the camera gesturing, mouthing answers and holding up cue cards.
This reminds me of a Danny Kaye skit, in which he impersonates an old, decrepit conductor who can barely make it from the wings to the podium. (It takes him about 15 minutes, while trembling and shaking.))
If the Trump campaign could find that TV clip and superimpose Biden’s face onto Danny Kaye’s, it would be hilarious.
And every sentence will end with ‘you know, the..thing.’
I expect that Biden will go to the debate, that the moderators will be liberals, supporters, and Never Trumpers, and that Biden will get helpful questions, likely will have them in advance.

I’m very sorry that this old man has been put into the spotlight as he has, by people who don’t care about him at all but only care about how they can USE him -
but I don’t think that what you suggest will help him at all.
The DNC will present a advitar for Joe.
It will look and sound much like Max Headroom.

I was not a fan of the show...But, I do remember the show being on ABC...During the second term of President Reagan...
I have seen MISSION IMPOSSIBLE movies with Tom Cruise...

I don’t think it will help him either. But, overall, expectations for Biden will be so low that everyone will simply dismiss and ignore his senior moments, focusing instead on anything they can that Trump says to disparage him. As a result, Trump has more to risk than Biden. Sadley, and he may point it out, the moderators will not be conservative. I still do not see how that is even remotely fair.
So the peasants can handle the mandate to be six feet apart in public places but Trump and Biden can’t be 15 feet apart for a debate. Got it. Rats are such wimps. The whole country is doing stuff online and they can’t figure out how to do that? OH yeah, their candidate is a dementia-addled fool.
President Trump is a gentleman - witness how he responded to the incident where Ben Carson was being walked past and ignored by all the other candidates, as they were going to the stage to debate - the others were all just thinking about themselves:

Our President will treat the sadly disabled Biden with the same graciousness. But I doubt he’ll give him much quarter in the end, if Biden can’t stutter-out a comprehensible sentence. One of them knows what it’s like - and has assimilated a sense of responsibility toward - actually having a finger on the button’. The other doesn’t, hasn’t- in fact, I can’t think of anything that Biden has ever really accomplished - except to get re-elected, over and over.
Trump, in a debate, may not destroy Biden to the latter’s face; but there is too much at stake to allow a failing old man to become a candidate for President, and Donald Trump realizes that.
Who really has your interest at heart? Is it the party whose best product is to present Biden to us as a presumptive nominee for President of the United States?
Or is it the one who has maintained good watch over us, and increased our well-being in many ways, over the past four years?
Biden counters with an offer for the debate of 10 multiple choice questions and 15 true/false.
I forgot, that's it's a thing like "Hey, Man" or "Come on, man". After all, I'm a senior and presidential candidates aren't expected to be cogent, or whatever, so why should I be clear or concise, or... what was the question?
