Experts Say COVID-19 Cases Are Surging, But How Reliable Is The Testing Data?

As Americans entered summer with a glimmer of hope that COVID-19 might recede, those hopes were quickly dashed after a rapid resurgence of the virus in Sun Belt states. Now approaching midsummer, the numbers continue to surge across the South and Western regions of the United States.

Florida and Texas, two of the hardest-hit states besides California and New York, have broken record numbers of cases in the last several weeks. Florida recorded an all-time high of about 15,200 cases in a single day July 11.

There are people who test positive and get retested every 5 to 7 days until they get a negative test. Each of those subsequent tests is recorded as a new case. I know someone who was tested ten times before they came back negative. That means they were counted nine times as a new case. However, they were counted only once as a recovered case.

‘Of course the Wuhan Flu numbers are being manipulated, and of course for political purposes. If the calendar said 2019 none of this would be happening.’

both those premises I agree are true for the US; but the prog response would be ‘so the whole world is participating in the virus to get rid of Trump...?’ which of course is a valid point; how would you answer that...?

EXACTLY

And if the MSM wasn’t so vested in creating and perpetuating the false crisis, they would be ASKING about the definition of “CASE”. Just imagine, if POTUS was exaggerating some data, based on this flimsy “evidence”, they would be tripping over themselves, to tell us he is lying again.

A “case” can be someone who had a co-worker, who had a household member test positive, even if no symptoms. From what I understand, “case” can really be whatever the local health department people determine to be as someone who had a chance to be exposed.

Should be looking at hospitalizations and deaths. And even deaths stats are fudged.

Not only were antibody and pcr tests results being combined, but effective July 10, hospitals were supposed to start sending their data directly to the HHS (via TeleTracking software) instead of the CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). The data was “inadvertently” doubled. Hospitals or State Health Departments from July 10 onward were reporting bed and ventilator counts for “Covid-19” stats to both TeleTracking AND NHSN. To my knowledge, this was never corrected in the records reporting cases. I know our local health department is still using stats from the CDC’s NHSN to calculate our cases. Presumably, our local hospitals and labs are reporting “covid” numbers to our State Health Department who then reports numbers to the TeleTracking system who I presume shares data with the NHSN so local health departments still use the data coming to NHSN via TeleTracking??? Our local health department hasn’t shared with the public as to why they’re still using data from the NHSN instead of TeleTracking.

There needs to be a full investigation of the accuracy of the testing

I think the tests are hit or miss for accuracy.

DeWine also claimed 1 person from a church infected 90 people in 5 different counties because that person went to church.

Funny how no one reports the protesters and the number of people they infected.

In Texas, cases are surging because of Mexicans coming across the border for treatment.

I’ve been saying for a while the swabs are pre-infected to keep this going.

Yes there does. Admiral Giroir is out there trashing HCQ, so obviously he's part of the Deep State scam.

And this from the country that has probably the best reporting in the world. So who really believes the numbers we’re getting from other countries?

I’m not so sure we have the best reporting in the world.

Some countries, perhaps Sweden, decided they did not want to take part in self-destruction no matter how much they hate Trump. Perhaps they also didn’t take part in bogus measurement also.

Our country has been purposely inept when it comes to this whole COVID affair.

This article is dated to sensationalize
The number of new POS tests reported yesterday in FL was 7,650
The reported deaths added yesterday was 120

Compared to this JULY article, you can see where this curve is going in FL

Wow, is that ever messed up!

It’s amazing that with all the sophisticated IT and Big Data systems that this could get so fouled up. And this is with literally DECADES to prepare for the next major pandemic.

Our Kootenai Health (Coeur d’Alene, ID) had a big Q&A / FAQ in the local paper a few days ago. People were saying they had heard they would get more federal money for inflating COVID cases. Kootenai denied it vigorously, then a couple days later an article came out about how this “bounty” for COVID cases is real and really distorting the numbers nationwide.

The United States is "testing" far more than other countries. It should be obvious that they would find more cases. More testing = more cases.

Think about it, if the testing suddenly stopped for one week, how many new cases would be reported?

If you guessed "NONE", you would be right!
