No, I’m not wrong. Marshall has been in the House for some time and has a good conservative voting record. And he will win easily in November.

Which hasn’t been won by a Republican since 1980 (and a very, very hard-left one at that). A center-right Republican hasn’t won a Senate race in MD since 1970.

Divide and conquer.

This is one of the prime ways that the Chamber-of-Commerce GOPe keeps America First/MAGA conservatives out of office.

Bad, Kobach’s the real deal, which is why the swamp hates him.

Marshall has been in the House for some time ? He’s only in his 2nd term ! Though that is 3 years and 7 months too long.

He isn’t a Conservative whatsoever. He’s a RINO squish and well to the left of Sen. Roberts. A Conservative was the excellent Congressman he needlessly defeated in 2016, Tim Huelskamp. Marshall’s voting record is mediocre, barely in the 70% range according to the ACU. You have to be at least 85% to be considered a borderline Conservative. But 98% ? That’s what Kris Kobach would’ve been as a Senator.

What’s the matter with Kansas, indeed.

I think the name wasn't exactly ballot friendly. Seeing his name spelled "Kris Kobash" makes me picture some 20-something perky blond girl performing on American Idol, rather than a 50-something male conservative GOP pol from Kansas:

Having grown up in Kansas for 25 years and then living in Missouri in a border county for another 35, I have some background opinions on Kansas politics. Kansas is not solidly conservative, they are 1940-50s era Main Street Mercantile / Farmer Republican.

Alf Landon, Governor Bennet, three other Governors, Bob Dole etc. I have met a lot of them.

This distinction has led to a long time split in the Republican Party for the last 30 years, thereby crippling them. The Conservatives like Koback pander to there base alone and end up failing to unite the Republicans at large. The Main Street guys do the same. The weak result is often a Democrat Governor or worse.

You just hit the bull’s eye on, “what’s wrong with Kansas?”

The problem is indeed big ag/big meatpacking in the west.
Combined with every business in the east wanting illegal slave labor..
And THEN we have the democrats to contend with...
Grrr.

You're wrong again. Kobach would have a 0 percent conservative rating because he would pull a Roy Moore and lose in the general and never serve.

Aren't you in TN? I've been in Kansas my whole life and have followed politics here closely for over 50 years. Tonight was a good night for us and a bad night for democrats. We should be celebrating.

I would rather Dole had been President than either Bush.

Rats gerrymandered that seat in MD badly. He came closer than I thought he would in 2014, in fact he won and it was stolen.

If had *really* won though, he would not have survived 2016 when Hillary carried it easily.

A shame, we could have 3 seats in MD with good lines.

I follow politics pretty closely and have never heard of Marshall. Presumably, his “good conservative voting record” includes support of Boehner and Ryan.

We need lions now. Not back bench Chamber of Commerce stooge “conservatives” who will fiddle while this country burns.

Good news! Kobach could easily have lost to a Dem and anyone willing to risk the Senate over one guy is a dope.

I just told you Marshall’s piss poor record and length of service, both of which you were wrong about. Kobach would’ve had a 100% Conservative record in the Senate. You’ll be lucky to get a subpar 70% out of Marshall, who will be the worst Senator since Nancy Landon Kassebaum or Sheila Frahm, who went full retard in endorsing Demonrat Laura Kelly over Kris Kobach. That’s the Marshall wing of the KS GOP.

Chief Justice Roy Moore’s candidacy was similarly sabotaged by RINO Derp Staters and openly so by the senior RINO Sinator (sic) of Alabama, Dick Shelby. Considerable fraud and chicanery was employed in the special election to stop this excellent anti-establishment, pro-Constitutional judicial giant.

My location is irrelevant. I’ve similarly been following politics closely in every state since the Reagan era. That you claim to know about your state so well and don’t even know Marshall the RINO’s record or length of service doesn’t speak well. Why should we celebrate the victory of another damn hack Derp State RINO when they are the cancer on our republic in collaborating with the Demonrats, who’ve fully embraced both Stalinism and Satanism ?

What a great idea!!

Kris has so much to offer. Some people don’t like politicians with a good brain and a good heart.

Don’t think I’ll EVER go to Kansas. Sorry Dorothy.

In 2020, McConnell still doesn’t want Trump to win.
