Having had end stage liver issues myself (I was on the transplant list at one time), it appears to me that Justice Ginsburg had a stint placed in her bile duct because she was suffering extreme jaundice, caused by the effect of her liver cancer. It is common to have this procedure, so that in itself is not news. However, what it suggests is that she is a lot closer to the end than what is being reported. There are those on the right who are gleeful at the prospects of her death, and those on the left who lament the possibility of Trump being able to replace her before the election. I would remind everyone that it is not important as to what Republicans or Democrats think or wish for, but it is God's decision on when someone passes to the next level. He is responsible for who will sit on the US Supreme Court, and no one on earth can do anything about that. I pray for a peaceful transition for Justice Ginsburg and that God be merciful to her and this country..It is all in God's hands. It will be 'hashgacha pratit', or God's Will as the Rebbe Baal Shem Tov said.

I am not a theologian. If that were true, I would counter that we wouldn’t have the 9 justices that we have. Also, this negates the idea of God giving human beings the gift of free-will. He is responsible for when each of us is called from this life, and yes, there is nothing any of us can do about that. We should take no glee in the passing of another which I believe is a key point that you are making and I agree.
