..."Not only are they overwhelmingly with Trump at this point, upon reflection, these voters who voted Obama and Trump would now vote for Trump over Obama in a hypothetical match-up, according to Thau."
..."Beyond the numbers, though, its critical to understand why so many of them continue to support Trump.
They think a businessman is best suited to turn the country around economically. They feel Covid-19 was not Trumps fault, and hes doing the best he can to contain it. They conflate the Black Lives Matter protesters with the rioters attacking federal buildings and retail shops. They dont want historic monuments torn down. And they dismiss defunding the police as ridiculous."

“They conflate the Black Lives Matter protesters with the rioters attacking federal buildings and retail shops. “
Conflate? There’s no conflation.
Goodness gracious. So now CNN is getting worried? But Joe Biden is comfortably ahead in all the polls. What are they worried about?
Love him or hate him, Trump has been pretty much true to who he said he would be and what he said he would do.
I know there are many, many black people out there who are privately gravely disappointed in how little Obama actually achieved to improve their lives. Not living up to his billing, not nearly.
Oh no! What will the FLeepers (#NeverTrumpers) do now? They won’t have anything to whine about!
Conflagration.
They meant conflagration.
In other words, they have sense.
“This will afford comfort for those of you worried about the election.”
It is some comfort, but our fellow citizens are a source of concern.

Trump and the party has to learn to make these things the Biden-Dem platform/plan for the US and pound this message relentlessly without pause or getting distracted by trivialities.
I bet there are poor black people in Minneapolis whose grocery stores, dentists offices, medical clinics, pharmacies and take-out joints have been burned to the ground who agree with them.
“They conflate the Black Lives Matter protesters with the rioters attacking federal buildings and retail shops.”
Maybe they remember Ferguson and St Louis in 2014, or Minneapolis this year.
“Conflate? Theres no conflation.”
I try to imagine being part of a peaceful demonstration for a cause that I passionately support. If it got infiltrated by violent looters, supposedly supporting my cause, I wouldn’t want any part of it. Furthermore, if such demonstrations typically descended into violence, I would not want any part of those, either. These so called “peaceful protesters” clearly support the violence, and are aiding and abetting it.
No, I believe “conflate” is used correctly here.
To combine (two or more texts, ideas, etc.) into one. example,
“the urban crisis conflates a number of different economic and social issues”

And we think that CNN is the cause of all this crap. If the media did not support all this crap, it would not be happening. CNN owns the riots. They egg it on. They hide the truth about rioters. And they tell a story that is so false its hard to believe. There is a lot of fault to go around, the people supporting the rioters with money, the teachers unions and other organizers, the democrat party, the low life’s who are actually rioting, all have some fault. But none of it would happen if CNN and MSNBC told the truth every night.
Be careful, there. College students know that DiHydrogen Oxide is a very dangerous chemical.
They will find something.
Never underestimate our eeyores...
Black male acquaintance who was a Bernie supporter is voting for Trump.
