Joe Biden, asked recently if he had considered the possibility that President Trump may refuse to concede defeat in the election, answered that he had. But he was absolutely convinced, the former vice president said reassuringly, that if such a thing happens, military personnel will escort him from the White House with great dispatch. What a relief!
The exchange brings to mind the 2016 campaign, when media personalities speculated that Mr. Trump would refuse to concede to Hillary Clinton. The hypothesis was never tested, Mr. Trump having had the bad manners to win, but it turned out to be they who refused to concede defeatnot by contesting the election results but by persuading themselves and half the country that Mr. Trump had won by illegal means and generally behaving like spoiled children for the next four years.
I suspect Mr. Trump would have conceded the night of the election (which Mrs. Clinton did not do), for the simple reason that he neither expected nor particularly wanted to win. In the event that Mr. Trump fails to win re-election, he will depart willingly. Not graciously, perhaps, but willingly and at the appointed time.
The more interesting question is: What will Democrats do if Mr. Biden loses? What idiotic conspiracy theory will they concoct to explain their defeat?

The Democratacommunists are projecting again.
Assuming that the Rats control the House
They’ll scream and holler saying Trump stole the election (again) and the Hollyweird people who were supposed to have left the country will puff up and state He’s not MY president. And the media will hyperventilate saying Trump will never leave office, etc etc ...
Did they really contest 1980 and 1988? I think 2004 was also clear enough, though there may have been some grumbling.
And yes, I read the headline and glanced at the excerpt only.

HRC, still acting like the spoiled little girl who didn’t find the expected pony behind the Christmas tree... Har, har!
We’re in a proxy war with China.
“...they who refused to concede defeatnot by contesting the election results...”
The media will just refuse to remind people that they speculated that Trump won't accept the results...
I don’t really give a damn. Trump is going to win and the dems can all drop dead for all I care.
That is right, they can drop dead and their worthless carcasses can rot in the sun and be eaten by worms and maggots. THEY have tried to destroy this country so they deserve nothing more.
Even if Trump wins all 57 States the Dems will not accept it ,LOL
l8r
Mr. Kerry-Heinz did not concede until the following morning.
Dems have not conceded a Presidential Election on the same day since 1988 ...
He needs to win by 150,000 votes or more in every swing state or the democrats will steal it..
Dumblecrats always project...Hitlery very reluctantly conceded through an intermediary, iirc.
But they have been denying their loss for nigh on 4 years now....
STFU, Dumbles...STFU.
Let’s make sure we gain in the Senate and win back the House BIG!
I saw a book in a bookstore once by RFK, Jr. He claimed that Bush stole the 2004 election. Kerry would have won if he had carried Ohio—Kennedy claimed that the Republicans suppressed the Democrat vote in Ohio. (Bush’s margin in Ohio was about the same as JFK’s national margin over Nixon in 1960.) There were long waits to vote in a small town in Ohio, which proved that the Republicans stole the election.
The Demon-crats won't accept President Trump being reelected even if he won every State and DC. They'll simply have a psychotic break (2016 resulted in a mere nervous breakdown).
Trump will win 43 plus states. Bank on it. 1968 again. Even worse
No Vietnam war to blame for the spoiled demoncat children
