Last week, the EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security issued a scary report on Chinas ability to conduct an Electromagnetic Pulse attack on the United States. The key takeaway, according to Dr. Peter Pry, executive director of the task force, is that China now has super-EMP weapons, knows how to protect itself against an EMP attack, and has developed protocols to conduct a first-strike attack, even as they deny they would ever do so.
According to the Center for Strategic International Studies, China has the most active ballistic missile development program in the world, so this is doubly troubling. China used stolen U.S. technology to develop at least three types of high-tech weapons to attack the electric grid and key technologies that could cause a surprise Pearl Harbor attack that could produce a deadly blackout to the entire country.
Dr. Pry outlines how China has built a network of satellites, high-speed missiles, and super-electromagnetic pulse weapons that could melt down our electric grid, fry critical communications, and even takeout the ability of our aircraft carrier groups to respond.

And second strike etc etc capability as well.
wouldnt have to declare war
president has 90 days to use troops
he’d be responding to an immediate massive event/threat
“Our leaders have known about this for years and have done exactly nothing about it.”
Yes. I have read warnings about this for at least twenty-five years, if not longer.
Mobility is king unfortunately.
Its not the power lines, its the transformers and generators both of which are not made in the US, as far as I know, but in Norway; they are usually years back ordered. Estimate of replacing the electrical generating capacity after such an attack is years, years with no power for most people and places
A lot of good their money will do them then
And since every last bit of their tech was stolen from us, there’s no way we have that same capability already developed and ready to deploy.
They do that and we are in the stone age again. HOWEVER, I believe that our boomer subs out in the Pacific have enough firepower to turn good portions of Red (YES, RED!!!) China’s major cities into ash. I am sure somewhere out there, there is a bunker that is so far underground and protected from this crap, that President Donald could order his subs to launch. AND, we need to go back to referring to China as RED CHINA!!! When the heck did they STOP being RED??? Just who decided to quit calling them RED, Slick Dick Willie Klinton??? That’d be about par for him to do, since ole Yass-sir Air-head-is-fat, was his bestist pal from the middle east!!! Yup, time to quit p&%$# footing around and give them the name back that they DESERVE. I STILL to this day, especially with a KGB colonel now president, believe they are STILL the Soviet Union and not Russia. Cuba is red, North Korea is red. Venezuela is red. Call em red, that is what their government is. One day in the future this will no longer be the United States of America. Part of it might still be, those of us who fight them, but a good portion will be called the Socialist Commie States of “Something”. They won’t call it America, that is a racist name.
Yes, we can thank Bill and Hillary, George W. Bush, and Obama for giving the chic-oms our technology.

Highly doubtful.
Really? Thanks for your positive input.......
I sat in a fascinating briefing about two years ago given by an actual nuclear scientist who was one of the team members who built the first EMP weapon.
High points:
1) they’re very hard to build
2) it takes a hell of a lot of atmospheric detonation data to even begin work on such a weapon
3) the Chinese and probably the Russians don’t have the necessary data and would need to conduct many more live tests
4) our power grid isn’t nearly as fragile as most think it is with local power distribution being the most vulnerable but fairly easily replaced if needed
5) the range of the effect diminishes rapidly and requires a pretty sizable warhead to get anything going that could effect even part of a state
6) the odds of anything harming us nationwide is almost zero
I went into it with “One Second After” on my mind. I came out of it not worried about EMP attacks; regular nuclear strikes are still by far the preferred method of mass annihilation.
Trump is the first president I’ve heard address the threat of an EMP attack and the need to defend against it.
What on earth are we paying these worthless politicians for?
BTW, I gave the thumbs up to a driver yesterday with a sticker on his truck that said: Defund the Politicians Not the Police.
This is the Chinese Pearl Harbor. If things go bad—They can turn off the juice. Without cell phones, computers, the youths will demand we give into China—If the Chinese can blame Trump somehow—They win big. But not too big. China is like a parasite —if it kills the host they too will die. China isn’t strong enough to withstand the world wide depression and social upheaval that would be caused by the fall of America. When the starving starts people will not comply with their tyrant masters.

An EMP strike against the USA will eliminate every single CIVILIAN means of existence in this day and age.
No water, no electricity, no transportation, no means of communications...
What it will NOT do, is eliminate the military capabilities of this nation.
All it would take is one EMP weapon from China. The US response would be overwhelming. The Russians would launch a second wave attack on China
To end the border issues forever.
China is at the point of having too much too lose. China has to maintain a large military as a result of its former one-child policy as the ratio of males to females is about 6 to 5 leaving millions of men without women. The only way to handle the problem is through conscription and constant “external” threats.
The US has weapons technology, developed technology, that is decades beyond what the public can imagine.
