President Trump announced from the White House Thursday afternoon the RNC convention in Jacksonville has been canceled.
Citing the ongoing battle against Wuhan coronavirus, President Trump said it is his duty to protect the American people and the timing of the event isn't going to work.
The announcement comes after the Republican National Committee moved the convention from Charlotte, North Carolina to Jacksonville in June because of ongoing reopening restrictions.

I think the local Jax Chamber of Commerce got cold feet after seeing the daily rioting in Portland. Curry is their pool boy. Then he had the Sheriff announced he didn’t have enough bodies for security and ducked out on the presser yesterday. I suspect very few of the GOPe were going to show up in the end. Trump has to play with the cards dealt. He’s not going to get a new deck before the election.
He should have it in DC and invite his supporters...have it on the mall.

I believe in going to the polling places. Our forefathers drove miles and even walked miles to vote. They were a good example. Get off your butt and go to your polling place.

Right now the red spots are south/west. Trump should rightly expect the virus to follow the same behavior and you’ll start seeing those areas clear up. When the do the lies are going to kind of expose themselves.
This may be a delay tactic to calm the Karens down for a couple of weeks before he starts debunking numbers. Right now since Pence utterly lost control of the messaging the the media has spent a couple of months terrorizing people he probably can’t just dive in with that.
He has not mentioned Pence’s name in any of these pressers. I think he’s pissed.
