Major League Baseball came out in defense of players who knelt during the national anthem on Monday evening, taking on critics and tweeting in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. As Breitbart News reported, several members of the San Francisco Giants took a knee during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner during a preseason game hosted by the Oakland Athletics before an empty stadium filled with cardboard cutouts. The Giants proudly tweeted out the protest: https://twitter.com/SFGiants/status/1285405863478390784?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1285405863478390784%7Ctwgr%5E&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com%2Fsports%2F2020%2F07%2F20%2Fmajor-league-baseball-defends-anthem-kneeling-supports-black-lives-matter%2F Amidst much criticism online, the leagues Twitter account began defending the protest and issued tweets in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. https://twitter.com/MLB/status/1285398301022486528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1285398301022486528%7Ctwgr%5E&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com%2Fsports%2F2020%2F07%2F20%2Fmajor-league-baseball-defends-anthem-kneeling-supports-black-lives-matter%2F The league is set to launch a 60-game season later this week, shortened because of the coronavirus pandemic. Games will be played before empty stadiums, and several rule changes have been adopted for players safety.

I’m really hoping I don’t see any kneeling when the NHL resumes on August 1st. That’s my sport of choice.
They insult the people who respect standing for the anthem. Also, they mock those who believe kneeling is for humility before our Creator. And, I suspect, many are dishonoring their own parents that did not teach rebellious disrespect. REPENT!
It was a Dodger game in LA, and some thugs got on the field and started to burn the American flag out in center.
Rick Monday sprinted from the dugout and snatched the flag away from them and held it high as the whole stadium erupted into cheers.
I think it was around 1970 - "google" for the video - it's well worth a watch. And amazing how far we've fallen.

Where have you gone joe damaggio! Fortunately over my life I have seen the best. With the designated hitter and band box stadiums today and the union baseball has been dead for me years. Last game I attended was Nolan Ryans 7th no hit game. I cannot tell anyone who won the World Series last year. Actually enjoying fishing instead now as the fish dont kneel.
LOL. I quit baseball after the strike in the 80s (?). They can go suck it.
They can do the typical ‘rat support groupie thing.
Players go to other league’s games. Get that big money in circulation.
I have developed an interest in cricket lately...fills the NFL hole when I quit watching 3 years ago (Australian cricket season coincides with US football season), and now perhaps the MLB hole (UK cricket). There are cricket matches played in a local park and we stop and watch once in awhile. Also, college baseball in still an interest of the wife and I....season tickets to the local college team for years.

The NHL has already supported blm.
I won’t be watching baseball this year, or ever.
In the last few years MLB picked up ex NFL fans who left it because they were sick of the kneeling and other crap like it. I wonder what morons decided that MLB had fans to burn.
I have become a huge SUMO fan. Awesome sport, practiced by people steeped in tradition and respect for their ancestors.
Goodbye major league baseball.
It's the same television network and paid employees of the network (by extension through via the teams). It has nothing to do with separate geographic locations.
They'd love for everyone to think that though.
Youre killing me, man!
BOYCOTT MLB!!
BOYCOTT MLB!!

Millions more, including me. I will always have my memories of Dizzy Dean broadcasting, “The Game of The Week”, in the early 50s. Yes, I’m that old.
Starve the beast.
