Surveillance video from outside City Hall appears to show protesters receiving a small shipment of bats before anti-cops activists clashed with officers on the Brooklyn Bridge Wednesday morning.
The delivery was made by a car parked on the street near City Hall, with one man seen retrieving six bats from the trunk, according to the footage provided by sources.
Police sources said the bats were delivered so the anti-cop activists could confront a “unity” rally proceeding over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan.
The unity rally included clergy, law enforcement and community activists.
It’s unclear if the City Hall protesters used the bats in the wild Brooklyn Bridge brawl between opposing protesters. But at least one was recovered after the dust settled, police sources said.
A cane was also used in the melee, with one counter-demonstrator seen on video using the object to whack cops over their head during the melee on the bridge.

I am sure the FBI will get right on it.
When I was growing up, it was common knowledge that hitting a cop over the head with a bat would likely result in return fire.
I think that’s still true in most places.
DeBlasio has must have put in Obama-style rules of engagement.
Just a “small” shipment of bats, not a large one, so it’s ok.
Keeps the riots mostly peaceful.

NY State Troopers have requested to be removed from NYC. With the present ROE they said they can not do their jobs.
Big story, but they won't report this as it looks bad for DeBlasio and Cuomo.
Bricks have been seen placed in the path of “peaceful protests”. Now we have proof of bats.
So I am 100% sure that the cops can trace each one of those guys, and each one of those bats, from where they were that moment to where they are now.
If they want to.
My feeling now is that the police are so pissed off many or most are resigning (literally or figuratively).
But after being bashed over the head with a baseball bat, New York's highest ranking policeman may inclined to turn the other temple, and kneel down before the protesters again as he did before. Or he may be reminded of this speech:

Not supporting this in any way, but calling 6 baseball bats in a trunk a “shipment” is a little misleading...
