I would go to the store for him if I could. As far as the Dr’s office, he can wear what he wants. OTH he should not go near a public place if he is at all worried.

I have been working in a HIGH RISK environment in The HOT ZONE of Massachusetts daily WITHOUT a mask now since March.
I get hazard pay.
I DON’T HAVE IT, My GF doesn’t have it, My live in nephew doesn’t have it, My co-workers don’t have it nobody i know HAS IT.

You need to calm down, cool out the hysteria....yea i read about you neighbor or whatever but take a little introspective and calm down about this whole thing.

even if you happened to catch the virus low odds that it is you most likely wouldn’t even know it...in the 20% chance that you did know it it would feel like a mild cold.

You terrified of catching the Flu as well?

Yes, I do wear gloves.

So tell me, are you saying that Jim Robinson who is at high risk must stay home or he must go out without a mask and face shield because they do no good..and if he does wear a mask or face shield you are going to make fun of him

ANd NO I will not order everything from a home improvement store...especially when I needed TOMKAT IMMEDIATELY for a rat trying to get in my house through or under my patio door...

just stop it

I will go out.
I will wear a fask shield and mask
and SHAME ON YOU FOR MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE FOR IT

I am ready and willing and able to make an enforceable legally binding arrangement with you whereby you GUARANTEE that I won’t get COVID and if I do will reimburse me for the damage

Let’s do it.

Were I the owner I would post a sign:

"The Governor is making me require masks. If I don't, His Majesty will pull my business license. Please don't take it out on me or my employees."

The New England Journal of Medicine published an article on May 21, 2020 that devastates the universal face mask requirement with these words in the second paragraph of this Journal article.

Universal Masking in Hospitals in the Covid-19 Era

List of authors.
• Michael Klompas, M.D., M.P.H.,
• Charles A. Morris, M.D., M.P.H.,
• Julia Sinclair, M.B.A.,
• Madelyn Pearson, D.N.P., R.N.,
• and Erica S. Shenoy, M.D., Ph.D.

https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp2006372

We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.

Making people do things they know are wrong, like making people repeat that the sky is pink, is a brainwashing technique. So, people object, and strenuously because this is oppression. And, posts like this are an effort to shame people to not resisting the bigger lies by teaching them they cannot resist even the plain and obvious lies.

No offense but you sound hysterical about this whole thing.

Medical deductibles?
In the odd chance that you catch this bio-engineered CCP Chinese Wuhan Kung-Flu you won’t even know it.
What about cars?
Do you drive or are you terrified of those as well?
Who will cover your auto insurance deductible?

Give me a dollar amount that you are willing to guarantee since you claim I can’t get Covid.

Surely that will be no problem. Right??
You will never have to pay out. RIGHT????

How much. How about $1000. Let’s put it on the record.

If you want to mock me for wearing a mask you should be willing to pay out if I get Covid

Keep in mind that I just got a shot of somone’s germs to the side of the face from about a foot away. Maybe he has it..maybe he doesnt. If he does, maybe I caught it..maybe I didn’t

So how much will you pay if that person just infected me?

HOw about the entire deductible

$6000

Mitigate the RISK is probably a more accurate description of what you're doing.

It's really a matter of you taking responsibility for yourself -- which is a good thing!

You really do build strawman arguments, don’t you? I’m not making fun of anybody. I’m trying to understand a certain mentality. Remember, I work at a big box hardware store. I see it all the time. An eighty year old in a scooter with an oxygen tank wearing a mask and gloves. If that person REALLY thought his life was in danger he wouldn’t be out among the public.

As for Jim, I am not intimately aware of all his health issues, but if anyone is severely at risk due to comorbidities then yes, such an individual should stay away from others. One can still go out for a walk (or ride) around the neighborhood. Or to get the mail if you have a communal mailbox system. Activities that keep you away from infection.

Now as for that Tomkat, we stock those so you can order online and get it right away with curbside pickup. You don’t even have to get out of your car.

I take responsibility.

I can tell you right now that I dont want to be looking at huge medical bills, the inevitable insurance fight, the possible long term damage to my body, and all of the repercussions without knowing I tried my best to mitigate the risk.

I am trying to hold out long enough for this virus to mutate, for medical field to know how to deal with it, and to have adequate supplies of resources.

One person theorized that I might actually have a better time dealing with Covid because my body already deals on a daily basis with low oxygen in the blood. It’s possible..or not.

btw, someone here has a brother who plays competitive tennis. He thinks he had it. He thinks it has caused his career to be over

Tell him Covid doesnt have long term effects. Of course, there could be another reason why his lungs are shot. Maybe he has lung cancer.

What about Influenza Rummy?
Do you have any opinion on that?
Do you ever leave your home on fear of catching the Flu?

Not from a medical book..except the possible Von Willebrand issue...but YOU tell me what this is...

Problematic nose bleeds as a child leading to multiple emergency room visits until it was cauterized..

Easy bruising

Blood that doesnt clot properly when having my blood taken. I have actually been at the checkout paying long after the blood was drawn and it would start streaming down my arm,.

Nasty HUGE blood clots during my periods.

Tell me what that is if it isn’t a possible von willebrand issue.

I will eventually have it checked out to see via a blood test.

Civility is gone.

Ah, but Civility is part of "Whiteness", and we know that anything associated with Honkey is bad.
