One of the most disturbing things about our already unsettling times is the way that the left is forcing ugly binary choices on Americans. The most obvious example is how the phrase All lives matter is being twisted to mean I hate blacks or Im a white supremacist. The latest manifestation of the charge that refusing to recognize black supremacy is, without more, proof that someone is a white supremacist comes from San Francisco. The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) has forced out its senior curator for the crime of refusing to ban white artists entirely from the museums collection.
If you happen to find modern art attractive, SFMOMA is an excellent place to see it. The building is itself a decent example of contemporary architecture, and the collection offers solid examples of late 20th-century and early 21st-century art. And of course, because its a San Francisco institution, SFMOMA has been all over the Black Lives Matter movement.
At the very top of its home page, right under the were closed because of the Wuhan virus announcement, the museum promises that it has Ongoing Commitments to Diversity and Inclusion. On the page dedicated to that promise, the museum assures everyone that its been talking a lot about diversity, equity, and inclusion because the country is steeped in fundamental systemic racism built into museums and this countrys origins. One of the many things SFMOMA promises to do is require anti-racist and implicit bias training for all staff (along with contemplating gender-neutral restrooms). The museum also promises a full racial analysis of all people working for it.
It turns out, though, that diversity, equity, and inclusion do not extend to white people. Instead, whites are to be the victims of systemic discrimination, whether as artists or employees.

This is the agenda in the arts everywhere.
Need not apply.
Blacklisted and discriminated against.
The Lord made me the color of skin that I am; He does not and did not make a mistake.
13% of our population is the tail wagging the dog.
This won’t go away until people are willing to stand up and say, “I don’t care what you think.”
I was thinking the other day of what a bad person I must be to hold back the likes of Colin Kapernick and other black millionaire celebrity athletes from realizing their full potential.
Then I snapped out of it.
Any white ‘artist’ is almost certainly a Leftist, so let them fight for themselves, for once. I’m sick of carrying their water.
Well, as we all know, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci were clearly racists. Their work should never be on display again.
The Left is eating its own. That’s worth noting given that there is a commie revolution underway.
No one is as asking you to carry their water.
bump
California is majority non-white. Think that might have changed it a little bit? The entire country is for the under 16 demographic. It isn’t 1964 anymore folks. Race isn’t skin color. Somalia and Hong Kong are not different because of skin color.
Indeed! We can't fight it by ignoring it.
Because I will not bow to the politics of the Left, and their outrageous and insane ideals, and my skin color happens to be white, I am a white supremacist.
Think on that. It applies to all in the same condition.
This is now America in the 21st Century.
How’s that for progress?
“The most obvious example is how the phrase All lives matter is being twisted to mean I hate blacks or Im a white supremacist. “
It’s clear that BLM thinks ONLY Black Lives Matter and become violent if you say otherwise. How is that NOT racist?
White supremacy? You mean White Achievement.
I guess that we white taxpayers are lording our supremacy over them. Time to stop providing any government welfare to the. Pushing all of that money on them must be insulting them.
The author calls out BLM for what they are: racist totalitarians. It’s a dangerous time.
Not sure how many here at FR fall into that category.
Those who are not supreme are by definition inferior. Inferior is the natural consequence of irredeemable inequality of being.
Those inequal of being are however equal under the law
Never begin a statement with “I’m not racist, but...”
Exactly!
