A surge in coronavirus cases in and around Tulsa, Oklahoma, is probably connected to the campaign rally President Donald Trump held there last month, the citys top health official said Wednesday.
Tulsa County reported 206 new confirmed cases Tuesday and 261 a record high Monday, and Dr. Bruce Dart, director of the Tulsa Health Department, said at a news conference that it was reasonable to link the spike to the rally and related events.
The past two days weve had almost 500 cases, and we know we had several large events a little over two weeks ago, which is about right, Dart said. So I guess we just connect the dots.
The county has more infections right now than any other in Oklahoma, and weve had some significant events in the past few weeks that more than likely contributed to that, he added.
Dart spent much of the news conference pleading with Tulsans to wear face masks which most attendees at Trumps rally did not and said the department would recommend requiring masks if we continue to see an exponential rise in cases, which, frankly, we expect over the next few days.

“more than likely”...a guess. I guess it is really more likely NOT. Great science there. Opinion is merely opinion. Who cares!
Fake surges
It’s all lies, from top to bottom. The CV19 PCR test cannot tell the difference between SARS-CoV-2 and any one of several coronaviruses that cause the common cold. In fact, SARS-CoV-2 has NEVER been isolated. Come on, healthcare types, prove me wrong. You know you can’t.
.... It’s a shame everybody at the rally weren’t wearing “Black Lives Matter” shirts .... This wouldn’t have happened .......

Yep. Indisputable Truth of Life #35, I think: feminism was created to give unattractive women access to the mainstream of society.
Thanks. #24 not #35 as I said.
Funny thing, I thought it was #35 too.
Right on, positive tests mean absolutely nothing at this point.Deaths are nothing now, 330,000,000 population of US, 130,000 deaths ( to date)= 0.0003 death rate- COME ON, we have reached the point of absurdity.

Nothing going on, increased testing will ultimately show 50 percent of our population are positive with no ill effects. I am of the thought time will show this Covid was the biggest hoax in history.
Is probably?
Why guess? Why dont they ask new Coronavirus victims in Tulsa area if they went to Trump rally, or have been in contact with somebody who went to rally?
Also, as PDJT has pointed out, USA is able to test more and more people for Coronavirus on an ongoing basis. So of course daily detected cases of the virus are going to grow.
Otherwise, I understand that the COVID-19 death rate is dropping regardless that people are still getting infected.
Corrections, insights welcome.
Send "Orange Man Bad" federal and state government desperate Democrats and RINOs home in November!
Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a "third term" in office imo.
Did anyone at the rally actually get sick, rather than just test positive? Or is that question politically incorrect?
Tulsa’s Channel 6 news this evening noted that 300 to 500 people are being tested here every day now. And by Wednesday it looks like we are going to have a mandatory mask ordinance passed -— which has been telegraphed through the local government and media coverage ramped up for weeks now.
