I remember the FIRST time I ever heard that song.......Was driving across the bridge to Sanibel Island in SW Florida Gulf Coast at the time. Don’t know why it sticks in my head, but it does................

Oh no... This is sad. Hubby and I enjoyed many Charlie Daniels Band concerts, especially back when Sean Hannity used to hold his Freedom Concerts (to benefit veterans' families) in New Jersey.
I'll never forget his amazing performances of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" especially.
Rest in Peace, Charlie. 😢

My husband and I attended most of those Hannity Freedom Concerts with Charlie Daniels in NJ back in the day. They were awesome! So glad we went.

AN Amazing man.. Rest in Peace Charlie.
I had the pleasure of seeing Charlie preform at Sean Hannity’s Freedom Concert many years ago in Jackson, NJ.

I will never forget after leaving an amazing Charlie Daniels Band concert, we drove home listening to the FM radio station that had promoted the show. Charlie came on in studio and did an acoustical version of The Legend Of Wooley Swamp. Honestly, it was better than the stage performance from earlier in the evening.
He will be missed!!

Charlie in his younger days was a democrat but like Reagan left when the party went so far left he couldnt recognize it anymore. No bigger American alive than Charlie and he was a staunch conservative. A great American.
