A couple in Martinez, California, peacefully painted over the city-sanctioned giant yellow “Black Lives Matter” lettering in the middle of the road on the Fourth of July. Police are now looking for the couple, likely harder than they are searching for the terrorists who ripped down statues, looted shops, and destroyed large chunks of cities across the nation.

What is the crime? Cars driving over the graffiti will destroy it as well, so it isn’t like it was something that would last.
What law did they break?
Have those same police departments investigated ANY of the Antifa/BLM vandalism of Public and Private property over the last month?
There ARE laws on the books for those crimes.
They are "this close" to arresting people for flying the American Flag as "provoking violence".
It’s a crime against taxpayers. If they used the good stuff, that federally approved paint goes for over $800 per 55g drum...

It is amazing how this simple phrase:
All Lives Matter!
Turns so called peace loving people into raging/mouth foaming/screaming liberals because in their insanity “Only Black Lives Matter!”
The even simpler message, “Lives Matter!” will work.
“NO KILL I” comes too mind, as in Matter Lives! ;-)

Should request permission to paint their own message. Judicial Watch is suing DC and NYC asking to paint “No one is above the law”.
There is tons of case law and precedence that government cannot engage In viewpoint discrimination. BLM is a political message and thus subject to counter messaging.
Actually, just getting rid of the “v” would be sufficient.
It’s funny. Google Earth still shows four cars, three of which my family has not owned for fives years or more, in my driveway. Yet, the BLM street adornment in DC is visible on their page.
That puts the importance of “the people” in perspective.
