The person who drove a car into a group of Black Lives Matter protesters in Seattle early Saturday morning and left two of them in critical condition has been identified. The Associated Press reported that Dawit Kelete was behind the wheel of a white sedan that swerved directly into the protesters marching on a local highway, hitting two women. A graphic video circulating on social media showed the point of impact that violently flung the victims’ bodies high into the air over Interstate 5.

Regardless, at least two people have been retired from protesting.

Yes. He stopped. The “protesters” started to approach his car so he drove further up the road and waited for the police.
Insanity. And the mayor and governor were letting it happen.

anybody who is stupid enough to block traffic on a freeway at night deserves whatever harm comes to them. assumption of risk.

I did not say he was going over the posted speed limit. He may have been, he may not have been. But he was going way too fast to be safe for going on the shoulder around vehicles parked in the freeway when he had no clue what was behind those vehicles and hidden from his view.

Certainly the protesters were being reckless and breaking the law. Hardly means the guy was not going way too fast for the situation and being reckless and breaking the law as well.
There is video of the truck chasing after the jag after the jag was attacked. The truck is keeping up with the jag. Looked to me like the speedo was at about 40 mph. On the freeway during the “chase”.
Although with the adrenaline running after hitting two people and then getting attacked, 40 might have seemed like 80?

I heard when the cops were collecting all of the evidence such as the shoes, backpacks, glasses, hats, etc. they had two piles. Summer and Love. ;)
(At least it wasn’t piles of body parts.)
