Hospitals seem to be on the honor system for how much COVID they encounter. But if you reward people for stuff, you can get a lot of that stuff.
The State is counting EVERY hospital admission as a Covid Positive patient. Never mind what a test says.
This is probably being done by most hospitals in most states.

They’re going by test results.
But it’s a significant point that the numbers do not show hospitalizations FOR covid.
I think they test every incoming patient.
After all, the facility will want to isolate cases from the general population.
Limiting elective procedures locally is a good move when ICU/ hospitalizations get close to capacity. Then bring them back when the load drops, which it will.

It smelled of BS.
