President Trumps campaign promised huge crowds at his rally in Tulsa, Okla., on Saturday, but it failed to deliver. Hundreds of teenage TikTok users and K-pop fans say theyre at least partially responsible.
Brad Parscale, the chairman of Mr. Trumps re-election campaign, posted on Twitter on Monday that the campaign had fielded more than one million ticket requests, but reporters at the event noted the attendance was lower than expected. The campaign also canceled planned events outside the rally for an anticipated overflow crowd that did not materialize.
Tim Murtaugh, a spokesman for the Trump campaign, said protesters stopped supporters from entering the rally, held at the BOK Center, which has a 19,000-seat capacity. Reporters present said there were few protests.
TikTok users and fans of Korean pop music groups claimed to have registered potentially hundreds of thousands of tickets for Mr. Trumps campaign rally as a prank. After the Trump campaigns official account @TeamTrump posted a tweet asking supporters to register for free tickets using their phones on June 11, K-pop fan accounts began sharing the information with followers, encouraging them to register for the rally and then not show.
The trend quickly spread on TikTok, where videos with millions of views instructed viewers to do the same, as CNN reported on Tuesday. Oh no, I signed up for a Trump rally, and I cant go, one woman joked, along with a fake cough, in a TikTok posted on June 15.
Thousands of other users posted similar tweets and videos to TikTok that racked up millions of views. Representatives for TikTok did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Good point.
Looks like Tom Fitton was right several months ago...there’s really nothing much going on.
The advance request for a ticket allows Trump campaign to gather your email and other information. If people just showed up, the campaign would not be able to milk all that data for future.
Sorry. Wrong thread.
Isn’t TikTok owned indirectly by the ChiComs?? Some Chinese-run holding company has them directly...??
Refund upon collecting ticket .
That will end all scams .
Tik Tak is a commie Chinese app .
Figures the left would be using it .
How many commie Chinese and foreign terror groups used to
mask there motives .
Why would Trump staff allow a Commie Chinese app ?
True..I agree with that..have it at an outdoor arena, like a stadium or something..I think people would feel MUCH more comfortable being outside than confined in a closed arena..were some ticket sales total BS, absolutely, but 1M, absolutely NOT, my guess, maybe 200K were fake, the rest were legit..there was NO way 1M people would show up to an event that holds 19,000 people..would I bother showing up if I knew that it was already sold out, probably not
Your suggestion would collect lots of bogus email addresses and other bogus info. By issuing advance ticket to your email ensures collection of valid emails.
But the venue should be open to non-ticket holders as well and advertise that so people know.
Your suggestion is the best so far!
BUMP!!!
If you want to stop the yutes from disrupting this by getting tickets then just write everything in cursive and not one of them will be able to understand it.
Does that define TREASON?
Just announce the place, date and time of the rally and whomever shows up gets in, space permitting.
These rallies are more about data collection for voters than 19,000 people cheering in an arena.
Yes, they are fun to watch and they generate enthusiasm, but they generate new voter information and voters.
Isn’t tiktok Chinese. thought i heard about it on Varney Business Show.
Do you think that would be a problem? I must be naive. I can’t see being a Trump supporter, liking the president so much, standing in line for hours, but handing in false information.
In any case, not much good having a valid email that belongs to a ne’er-do-well leftist.
if a right wing group does this for a biden rally- and only 10 of his 15 supporters shows up to the rally- the left will go mental and demand an investigation into ‘election tampering’ (or some such election interference term) be made-
Wait until they get Trump campaign texts every hour for five months.
Made a million requests?
Does anyone do math anymore?
Yes, it just proves that yutes can manipulate social media with spoofing techniques.
People have been doing it for years with email and twatter and fakebook.
Yes.

Still had more than 4........................
The process tracks people.
Letting people in anonymously... not a great idea.
