We'll meet again, Don't know where, Don't know when But I know we'll meet again some sunny day
Keep smiling through, Just like you always do 'Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away
So will you please say "Hello" To the folks that I know? Tell them I won't be long They'll be happy to know That as you saw me go I was singing this song
We'll meet again, Don't know where, Don't know when But I know we'll meet again some sunny day

I wonder if she’ll get a military funeral?
Dame Vera, what a trooper!
Rest now little one.
Mentioned in Mr Churchill Says by Kinks
from the album Arthur
As Vera Lynn would say
We’ll meet again someday
But all the sacrifices we must make
before the end
Speaking of Churchill some want to
pull down his statue and a woman was asked
about it and said “well I haven’t met the
man but...” Chances are she hasn’t met
the man because he died 55 years ago
What a loss! A great lady from a great generation, now almost all gone...
During the special address to the nation from Windsor Castle, in the midst of lockdowns, Her Majesty told the nation: “We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return.
“We will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; we will meet again.”
Dame Vera Lynn called Queen’s coronavirus speech referencing her song ‘wonderful’ in final interview before her death
Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?
Remember how she said that
We would meet again
Some sunny day?
Vera, Vera
What has become of you
Does anybody else in here
Feel the way I do?

That song is exactly what came to mind for me.
I think most of us born after WWII first heard of her, from that.
A great singer and beautiful lady who was an inspiration during WWII. They need to build a statue of her so we can watch it being torn down by a BLM mob.
She had really nice teeth for a Brit in the 1940’s.
RIP, Vera. And thanks!
