Here in Tennessee the former Dem governor Phil Bredesen ran for Senator in 2018 against Marsha Blackburn. Ole Phil talked a conservative talk and was hoping to hoodwink enough independents. Someone took a hidden camera into a Dem campaign office and complained about all the conservative stuff Bredesen was saying. The campaign worker said that Bredesen had to say those things, and that as soon as he got elected he would "be a good Democrat."
