Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan defended the anarchists who overtook several blocks of the city and created a Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, saying what theyve done is patriotic. Townhall's Julio Rosas is in Seattle covering the CHAZ, however, and his reporting shows that's far from the case.
In a series of tweets, Durkan said President Trump doesnt understand whats happening in the city. Cal Anderson and Capitol Hill has for decades been a place for free speech, community, and self expression, she said. Lawfully gathering and expressing first amendment rights, demanding we do better as a society and provide true equity for communities of color is not terrorism - it is patriotism.
This patriotic act has resulted in anarchists reportedly hurling objects at police, who are forbidden from the area, food shortages, sexual assault, allegations of extortion, and the rise of a warlord of sorts.
The Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone #CHAZ is not a lawless wasteland of anarchist insurrection - it is a peaceful expression of our community's collective grief and their desire to build a better world. Given his track record, it's not hard to believe that Trump is wrong, yet again, she added.

And just who was it that voted this assclown into office? If I were PDJT I would tell the 'mare' and gov: "I offered help and you declined so, don't call."
Henseforth, CHAZ shall be known as New Mogadishu, the liberal utopia.
Let them stew in their own fetid soup they created.
just another dumb dyke trying to save her job, pathetic
scary is that this thing was the U.S. Attorney for western WA for years.
Islamic Autonomous Zones coming soon.
Mogadishu on the Mississippi already has that title.
Call it New Raqqa
Funny how libstards think anarchist taking over city hall and extorting the local businesses patriotic, but farmers taking over a wildlife refuge outpost is an act of domestic terrorism, I hope those anarchists get the Levoy Finicum treatment.
Yeah, right, Mr. Socialist Commie Mayor. Just like the commie reds riding into Saigon in 1975. Yeah, right, you freaking communist fool. They rode into Saigon and now they are taking over Seattle. Fine, you can have the stinking place. You had it anyway.
So the pinko-commie-lib “peaceful protesters” brazenly and illegally close off a large section of the city, and the even more intellectually challenged “Mayor” immediately blames .... Trump.
This dumbunnie just keeps digging her hole deeper and deeper. What’s she gonna tell us when Chaz is on TeeVee in flames?
She is getting absolutely crushed on Twitter—from both sides. If you want to smile, go take a look.
Just another patriotic act.
Why isnt the sewer cut off yet?
Because you can’t just ‘cut off’ the sewer.
A TV ad showing the Seattle chief of police statement from today about the CHAZ raping and robbing, then showing the Pinhead Mayor saying the CHAZ terrorists are Patriotic would be the end of her. Maybe there would a kennel crap cleaner job waiting for her at the Pound. MAYBE.
What are Seattle’s gun laws. They are walking around fully loaded in the heart of Seattle without permits. Is this the new norm? No guns laws.
That’s Madam Sewer to you.
I wondered the same thing. Pics of ‘king simone’ walking around with what appears to be an AK. Loaded? Someone in WA may provide us with some insight on their state and local laws.
Wiki: As a general rule, a person may legally open-carry in Washington state in any place it is legal to possess a loaded handgun, as long as it does not manifest “an intent to intimidate another or [warrant] alarm for the safety of other persons.” To open-carry a loaded handgun in a vehicle (e.g, car, bus, etc ...) a person must have a valid concealed pistol license.
The guns are certainly an intent to intimidate...
