Seattle protesters storm City Hall, demand mayor resign after driving police out of area, declaring autonomous zone
Hundreds of protesters, aided by a sympathetic City Council member, stormed Seattle's City Hall Tuesday night to demand the mayor's resignation, just days after seizing a six-block downtown zone that includes a shuttered police precinct.
SEATTLE PROTESTERS DECLARE 'COP FREE ZONE' AFTER POLICE LEAVE PRECINCT
Demonstrators remained peaceful, without reports of violence or injuries, but are pushing Mayor Jenny Durkan to step down if she refuses to defund the city's police department.
The protesters continued to camp out in a self-declared “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ)-- a region spanning six blocks and encompassing the precinct-- which has effectively been abandoned by law enforcement after the Seattle Police Department closed the East Precinct on Monday.

I used to live in Seattle, now in Tacoma.
Anyone that has decided to stay in Seattle since that place went nuts in 1998 or so, can only blame themselves for staying in a place that has adobpted the lifestyles of Soddom & Gomorrah. As it still stands, a person can leave there and sell their house for an astronomically overpriced amount. That latter part may not last if the city starts to resemble Detroit.
I was in Bremerton (Navy) in 1968...I enjoyed Salmon fishing and trout fishing...Mt Ranier was a great visit...
Went into Seattle a few times...Liked the smaller towns much better...
Time to send in one Texas Ranger or seal team six. Wipe them out.

Starbucks major office not far from downtown Seattle ...haven’t heard from Starbucks corp in media...but maybe I missed it...they are on the “list” I’m sure

We’re not winning Seattle proper but along with eastern WA that always goes law and order much of western WA might figure it out as well.

I was in Seattle too in 1968...just got off of a DC8 at 9 months old...immigrant family from Europe. Dad went to work on the 747 project.
The autonomous district is pleading for a food delivery—allegedly the homeless population has taken all the food from the “Occupy Seattle” group.

They need to expand the district to Pike Place Market. Food there. Only a mile. And a Target on the way. And the original starbucks. When it runs out they can eat the fish in the aquarium. After that, they’ll have to learn to fish.
