WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. Protests continued in the Triad on Tuesday night following the death of George Floyd.
Protesters blocked all lanes of Interstate 40 between Peters Creek Parkway and Stratford Road.
Our FOX8 crew on the scene saw dozens of protesters walking in the lanes of I-40, holding signs and chanting Black Lives Matter and George Floyd.
As of 8:45 p.m., NCDOT said all lanes have reopened.

This is the kind of thing that makes you quietly pray for Death Race 2000 to be a real sporting event.
The interstate highway is federal property. These "protestors" should be treated accordingly.
I’m not sure interstate highway is federal property. You might want to double check that.
Bigfoot.
Man - that movie goes back to 1974 ??? David Carridine ??
doesn’t matter - hit the gas and take them out. No right to block a highway. That’s false imprisonment.
Thats the downtown expressway, Business I-40. Tractor-trailer traffic and most through traffic would bypass that. The long shadows from the setting sun make it look like a scene from some sort of sci-fi movie.
Have you ever seen those videos of protesters on the freeway getting run over by cars going full speed?
I had a friend stuck in it.
I would get out and start swinging.
Wrong or right I already know i would boil over in a minute and that would be it.
Have to work on that
They need all the trucks from the movie Maximum Overdrive.
If anybody ever gets killed on an interstate highway during these block the road protests, the person will be lionized as a martyr by the Liberals and the media.
So preventing others from free expression in travel is Constitutional peaceful protesting?
Ew. That windshield looked like Lovebug season in Florida, lol.
LOL
I have never understood how this is not holding people against their will. Unlawfully holding someone against their will is a felony.
This protesting is NOT peaceful. Happened on I95 in Florida the other day, for two hours. A major interstate. I thought a group had to get permission to march or overtake a park to protest. Sickening.
