WASHINGTON - Former Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell on Sunday endorsed Democratic former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, becoming the first major Republican to publicly back Donald Trump’s rival ahead of November’s election.

Powell, who led the U.S. military during the 1991 Gulf War under Republican former President George H.W. Bush and later led the U.S. Department of State under President George W. Bush, said Trump was “ineffective” and has only gotten worse since he took office.

“I cannot in any way support President Trump this year,” Powell, who did not vote for Trump in 2016, told CNN in an interview.

Asked if he would vote for Biden, he added: “I will be voting for him.”

I’m more concerned with current Generals. It seems like they are dog shit cuck boys who need to be replaced.

Yes over McCain as well. The only difference is that he waited less than a fortnight before the election so his endorsement would have maximum impact.

He was in the chain of command over the My Lai massacre as well. His career was one of the few spared because Nixon needed a token.

That is just about as important to me as wondering who Cher will vote for.

>> What a change of attitude by a once-great general. (From Snopes) When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush. He answered by saying that, “Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.” <<

It's quite simple. The ONLY Republicans that "Republican" Colon Bowel Movement has EVER supported are the ones who appointed to him to some cushy government job.

Claiming he's a "lifelong Republican" is like claiming Michael Jordan is a lifetime Gatorade fan.

I dare anyone to find an example of Bowel Movement supporting a "Republican" who wasn't paying him to work for them.

An article segment from May 2009:

“My take on it was Colin had already left the party,” (Dick) Cheney said. “I didn’t know he was still a Republican.”

Note the list of his endorsements on this page:

He “endorsed” Sen. John Warner in 1996, but only in the primary over the more competent Jim Miller, who had been Reagan’s OMB Director.

By all accounts, he left the party the same time he left the Sec of State office in 2004/05, assuming he ever was really in it. Frankly, I don’t believe he was.

As if being a senile, racist shakedown artist weren’t enough reason not to vote for him, here comes Colin Powell with an endorsement.

A gold star if you can remember the name of the now deceased US Army Retired Colonel/journalist who told us all about the perfumed Princes. I can’t remember, but I’ll bet if I was to google perfumed princes I’d find it. Yep, I found it.

Sadly I am beginning to realize my loyalty does have a price. I have not personally been abused by the Party, but watching others being abused, or not when they should, leaves me wondering how long I’m going to remain a loyalist. One overriding issue is my State is a closed primary State and elections are won or lost in the primary. If you chose not to be involved by registering Independent you have just removed yourself from participation in the election process. You may vote in the General, but by then the real election of O V E R.

Powell’s endorsement is probably worth 14 or 15 additional votes for dementia inflicted “Slow Joe”
