Cristobal has started to move toward the Gulf of Mexico after stalling over Campeche Mexico. Tropical Storm and storm surge watches have been issued along the Northern Gulf of Mexico coast.
Most of the convection is located to the east of the storm.

We should name all destructive storms after liberal governors- Start with cuomo, whitmer- etc-
Folsk can then say in the year 2030 “I remember back in 2020 when category 5 whitmer destroyed michigan, and category 5 cuomo destroyed ny- They have never recovered so far-”
Here we go crank up the panic porn storm headed for New Orleans.
A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for the northern
GOM coast from Intracoastal City Louisiana to the
Alabama/Florida border, including Lake Pontchartrain and Lake
Maurepas.
A Storm Surge Watch has been issued for the northern GOM
coast from Indian Pass to Arepika, FL, and from Grand Isle,
LA, to Ocean Springs, MSi, including Lake Borgne.

Yay, rain.
Hopefully it stays a TS. We could use an influx of rain here in Central Alabama without the damage on the coast.
What does a man in CT mean when he says, “Crank up the panic porn storm?”
According to the rout map, the storm ends RIGHT at my front door in SW Wisconsin!
This should be fun. ;)
The FL peninsula is already water saturated.
Welcome back to Hurricane 2020!
Brought to you by that great Floridian, NautiNurse!
Thanks. We’ve really had enough rain in Bama, but when I think back to all the dry summers I’ve seen.... Bring it.
Rain? What is this thing you call ‘rain’?................................
The Panhandle needs it!....................
Thanks for the ping.
Mainly a rainfall threat as peak winds likely to be 60 mph.
The end stage in the Midwest should be interesting as there’s already a strong low forming over Montana bringing a lot of rain into the Pac NW and western Canada this weekend. That should be phasing in with remnants of Cristobal when the two meet up over the Midwest. Could be some excessive rainfalls in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa around Tuesday not all due to Cristobal (just part of a bigger moisture package).
My house was destroyed by a Tropical Storm. Often they are overlooked for how they can generate too much rain in a short period of time. Hopefully it is just a fast moving low that doesn’t do any real damage to the heart of conservative America.

My yard is so dry, the mole crickets got up and moved......................
It has been a weird Spring/Summer. I thought the whole state was going to float away in March/April. Now we have been mostly dry for a month — lots of rain Selma-West and Auburn-East, and a corridor of dry right through Montgomery. Strange.
Thanks, nauti.
Looks like it is going right up the middle.
Might squelch some of the “protests”.
Hiya, AB! You are too kind! Cristobal has been stalled and meandering for days. Looks like a rain event, mostly to the east of the center.
