The Ivy League-educated lawyer and Brooklyn community board member busted in Saturdays Molotov cocktail attack on a marked NYPD vehicle amid George Floyd protests has been suspended without pay by the prestigious law firm where he worked.
Colinford Mattis has been placed on suspension without pay, pending the resolution of the criminal proceedings. The suspension went into effect on Monday, Ronald H. Shechtman, a managing partner at corporate Manhattan firm Pryor Cashman, said in a statement.
Mattis had been furloughed since April as the firm cut costs to cope with the coronavirus pandemic.
Mattis, 32, was allegedly behind the wheel of a minivan as his passenger, fellow attorney Urooj Rahman, allegedly hurled the incendiary device at an empty NYPD vehicle outside the 88th Precinct stationhouse in Fort Greene early Saturday.

WOW, took four days.... guess the law firm had to argue each side and then vote.
With schooling like that he sounds privileged to me.
Would a white guy merely be suspended by now?
(Well, for that matter, would a white guy have that job and Ivy education at all?)
Shee-it man. Seems like i need to re-order sum o dat black-en-my-face.

My daddy used to say, If you cant beat em, join em.
NO...WITH OUT PAY...
As soon as things cool down....get rid of 95% of the lawyers and crime will plummet...
Both need to be disbarred. Suspended does not mean fired.
Not a great week for a couple of guys named Mattis.
[He was already on furlough from the law firm, so Im guessing he was hardly a star performer for them.]
