"Cigs these days cost alot."

I remember going to the store as a kid for my mother to buy her a pack of Camels that sold for 25 cents. She'd always gave me a nickel or dime extra so I could get myself some penny candy too.

"It is self-evident that this would restrict oxygen intake and flow of blood to the brain."

It's self-evident that Floyd's long-term, serious drug use limited his oxygen intake, and the flow of blood to his brain, and probably caused brain damage, along with heart and liver damage. Self-inflicted health problems

So how can they prove he didn’t die, because his breathing capability was affected by the virus. Smoking and he’s positive for the virus, plus doing heavy drugs. The guy had a death wish.

If the Americans of African Descent want to be angry at somebody, they should be mad at the drug dealer who sold him drugs.

I wonder what taxes are like on 10 million. Pretty sure the IRS will let that one slide, in solidarity of course.

With his known health problems, as well as his long-term drug use, and use of drugs like Fentanyl, I’m surprised he lived to 46.

"Just think, if he hadn’t purchased the cigarettes with a counterfeit 20 dollar bill, we would not be experiencing such insanity."

And he still might have died that day, just not in those circumstances.

For arguments sake we should probably rule out the knee on the side of the neck for 8 minutes as playing any role in his death. We should probably conduct an experiment. Any volunteers to do the full 8 minutes? Anyone? All right, how about 7 minutes...anyone? Someone? Bueller?

Just think, if the IRS arrested everyone who underpaid their taxes by $20 and then stepped on their neck for 8 minutes, white people would be rioting like Tulsa in 1920.

What little sympathy I may have had evaporated the minute the riots started. Or to quote that old country song, “My give a damn’s busted....”

I know there is a lot of evidence yet to be seen or known, but from what we have seen it’s horrible. The fact they have been charged (and the charge against Chauvin upgraded) suggest there was no cause to restrain him the manner in which they did. Even if he was resisting, even if he was high on PCP, to sit on his chest with a knee in the carotid artery wouldn’t seem to be medically prudent. It is self-evident that this would restrict oxygen intake and flow of blood to the brain.

Except what you write is circular logic, and assumes things that are clearly in dispute.

The charges seem very likely to be politically motivated, instead of motivated by neutral fact finding. The officers were fired in about eight hours, clearly in violation of policy and legal requirements. Regular order was ignored in order to push the politics and emotional outrage.

We do not know that the blood supply to the brain was disrupted by the knee, or that there was undue pressure on Floyd's neck.

Video can be very misleading. Multiple people have stated that what was shown in the video can be done with light pressure. The restraint applied was, at least initially, done according to department policy.

Floyd may well have died whether the knee was on his neck or not, because of the multiple medical issues and drugs involved. We simply do not know.

We need to stop the electronic lynching. The officers involved should be accorded due process and the rule of law, every bit as much as any lifelong career criminal, such as George Floyd.

A retired officer I know demonstrated the technique on his wife to show her how deceptive the video was.

He asked her: Can you Breathe? She answered: yes.

He asked her: Are you in pain? She answered: no.

He asked her: Are you in discomfort? She answered: no.

He showed her how only light pressure was needed in the technique, to keep her from getting up.

He showed her how in the video, it appeared the knee was putting pressure on the neck, because of the camera angle, when it really wasn't.

I volunteer to be in the same position, with the retired officer demonstrating the technique on me, for nine minute. I would just take a nap.

Unfortunately, the officer is 2500 miles away.

The technique is designed to allow control of a person on the ground with minimal pressure.

You cannot tell how much pressure is being applied, by the video.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

But you can tell that the knee was kept there until well after he was unresponsive and need in aid which the officers should have rendering.

Great commentary by Candace Owens!   It's amazing too how many white people (like Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, etc.) also try to hold George Floyd up as a heroic martyr, simply for their own dishonest, evil, political lust for power.

Thanks for posting this.

You don’t seem very intelligent. Intelligent people understand that she said the very things you’re saying, yet claim to be in disagreement with her about. Hopefully that’s all it is. There’s evil people out there that twist words to make people look bad. I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that’s not what you were doing.
