The decedent was known to be positive for 2019-nCoV RNA on 4/3/2020. Since PCR positivity for 2019-nCoV RNA can persist for weeks after the onset and resolution of clinical disease, the autopsy result most likely reflects asymptomatic but persistent PCR positivity from previous infection.

George Floyd was NOT a good man. He is NOT a martyr. He did not deserve his fate at the hands of a Police Officer, and Officer Chauvin needs to answer for that in court. But that doesn’t make Floyd a better man than he was before his death.

I read an article here that suggested something along those lines... but I would suggest if this “counterfeit ring” was of any quality than it wouldn’t be so easy for a clerk in a convenience store to spot it.
I am just totally out on a limb speculating here; but it is possibly drug related. Drugs are sold in nightclubs; often with the knowledge of the security team. So what if a hypothetical man who sold drugs in a nightclub was also selling drugs on the street corner during the day (makes sense), received a bogus $20 from someone and didn’t really check it, then went to a store to buy some smokes... oops he passed a bad bill without knowing and they called the cops. Then this hypothetical man swallows the drugs he was selling when the first cop showed up... and by the time the second cop shows up the drugs start to “kick in” and he gets agitated; and then he gets very sick; and then between the drugs and the adrenaline and the way he was restrained he died.
It seems from the initial indictment against Chauvin, the first cop (I think he had a Korean name) showed up and there was a minor incident, but Floyd complied and was taken into custody and handcuffed. He was told to stand by the wall which he did while the cops tried to figure out what was going on, what the complaint was, what to charge him with etc. When Chauvin showed up, and Floyd realized that Chauvin (and not the arresting officer) was going to take him in that is when things escalated.
It’s all very suspicious and odd; and tragic.

So he was a convicted felon who had drugs in his system. Why not just have the police shoot him out of hand once that was clear to them?
And if cigarettes cost what they should, without onerous nanny state taxes, he would have been able to buy a pack without having to resort to counterfeit money. I think it really is that factoid that pushes this into peak absurdity territory for me.
