I have my TV on, and the Best kept secret seems to be that Floyd was on Meth and Fentanyl at the time of his arrest.

Mr. Floyd was attempting to drive on Meth and Fentanyl.

Some of your points in this post are valid, but your #1 is flat wrong. See my post #97 for the official Minneapolis PD policy on neck restraints.

“The medical examiner said fentanyl intoxication with a good dose of meth.”

The family lawyer said that was irrelevant!

Still, four cops should have been able to get him in the car. Zip tie is ankles and legs at the knees and toss him in like he’s a side of hillary.

Maybe the cop will turn out to be guilty. Reasonable people would want to know all the facts before turning into savages and burning down the town. Some, such as yourself, only want to see a tiny bit of the evidence. I suppose it is easier to go through life without all that thinking for yourself stuff.

We have the facts. You just don’t like them. Nothing will charge the fact that the officer assaulted his handcuffed and unconscious (or dead) prisoner for over two minutes.

Chauvin is looking at a defacto life sentence between state and federal charges. He’s going to plead guilty to avoid that. And you’ll still be defending him then. Guaranteed.

I believe the neck hold is still a technique on the books in Minn. what everyone seems to forget is that technique is for gaining restraint, ie to get cuffs on.

No manual in the US allows for it after cuffs are applied. In this case cuffs had been applied since first contact.

They both worked at the same night club. Bet they had differences that spilled over from that relationship. Bottom line, this resulted from something personal and had nothing to do with big bad white cop vs. poor innocent black guy minding his own bid’ness.

Perhaps but I think that goes a long way toward explaining why the extraordinary measures to subdue him. The police, through Chauvin, knew this guy could be a handful if not carefully restrained. Although it does beg the question: once handcuffed, why didn't the four cops force Floyd into a police car?

exactly..of the 100 biggest police departments in the country, only 28 have outlawed choke restraints..people here still think that cop decided to kill this guy despite it being broad daylight, on a busy street, while being recorded, ..whole thing is absurd. But hey, if this is what people want...never thought id see the day...

Of course he said that. It wouldn’t look good on the Saint Floyd statue to say he died of a heroin overdose while resisting arrest.

So, we know that (1) Minneapolis PD DOES TRAIN THE USE OF NECK RESTRAINTS, and (2) they are allowed by department policy for trained officers. Assuming Chauvin was trained in the use of them, this is going to be a very tough case for the prosecution.

Yeah, no. He was unconscious and handcuffed. Chavin had 3 armed cops backing him up.

It’s going to be a very easy case for the prosecution and Chauvin is going to plead guilty because of that.

it doesn’t matter.....the cop still kneeled on his neck for 8 minutes.
**********
All we ever hear about is where the cop’s knee was — with nobody knowing how much pressure was actually applied. The St. Floyd fan club wants to convict the cop of first degree murder based on the video alone.

I wonder which one it was that Floyd dropped at the scene?

No, we don’t. I have been on a few juries. You sound like about half the people there who would convict anyone of anything just so they could get it over with and go home.

Look up fentanyl intoxication. See if it’s a good thing.

In the video Chauvin is seen kneeling on Floyd's neck with his hand or hands in his pocket. He's not supporting himself with his hand so safe to say the pressure being applied was his full weight.

Both autopsies determined the cause of death to be “Homicide”. That means someone else caused their death.

I don’t think his hand is in his pocket but is wearing a black glove that blends with his black pants. At one point, you do see him brace himself with his hand on the car and puts his back on his leg.

They said homicide. They did not say murder.

Homicide can be justifiable and excusable.

You should look up the big words before posting so you know what they mean.
