World War II vet I knew said that when they freed Buchenwald they shot guards trying to pass as inmates. After Malmedy, they took no SS prisoners. After Omar Bradley said he was "sick and tired" of hearing about German snipers surrendering, rear guard German soldiers who surrendered with empty clips (his word, he meant magazine) would be given a three step head start to "escape".

I’ve been retired for a while, but they used to have Military Police units.

US Marshals deputies would work. Can it be done?
I believe Dianne Feinstein was deputized as a U.S. Marshal. This allowed her to carry concealed everywhere within the U.S. This was because she, unlike you or me, is an important person whose loss would be a devastating to the Republic.
