Much of the early “fighting” in this war has been taking place on several fronts over the past few decades. Just to name a few:
*The classroom - where America’s history has been re-written and distorted
*The editorial board room - where nuancing the American story with a Leftist spin has been taking place
*The assault on the family, which has, for all intents and purposes been stripped of its “divine” design
*Along with the previous point, the absolutely horrific parenting/single-parenting/lack of parenting that has taken place (Is that your 20-something running around out there doing that? Would you own it, if it was? Would you admit it if it was? If one of them is yours, be ashamed—you raised ‘em wrong, if at all!)
*The shift to a “nomadic society” where neighbors and neighborhoods are temporary fixtures and not anchors to our sense of belonging (love my neighbor? - I don’t even know my neighbor!)
There are many other forces that have been at work in creating what we’ve seen the past few days, but these are just a few. Those young people out there, running around, burning things down, the occasional acts of pure savagery, the posing and posturing at scenes of destruction—those, folks, are not ones that share the typical Freeper’s sense of what it means to be American. They are not us. And this is why I fear that, if this goes on much longer, then yes, we are at a serious crossroads and we will be looking at an “us or them” scenario.

The left knows that they can pretty much do as they please and that no one-including DJT so far-has the stomach to do what needs to be done and endure the murderous name calling that would result from any legitimate attempt to save the Republic.
The author basically says “just take it, do nothing but vote”. I am not sure that will work.

The reason he is holding fire is that (1) he isn't allowing the Left to bait him into action that will appear "heavy-handed and (2) he's letting the blame shift back to the mayors and governors of the riot-torn cities.
Trump has a good ear for this kind of stuff. He's playing the best he can with the hand he's being dealt.
It's a political minefield this close to an election and he's being careful.

It’s civil war, and a coup d’etat. The plan is to destabilize the civil order and create chaos, then take advantage of the confusion to get their man in the White House.

Here in MN, they are attempting to bring their BS out to the Suburbs. The town I grew up in, where my youngest Sister and Parents still live... Is in their crosshairs today. A rental vehicle loaded with gas cans, bats, ect... was found parked just off a downtown street. Sheriff Dept chatter is that there may be a “demonstration” at 11AM CST today...
Not in my back yard. Not in my AO. I CANNOT let the violence and destruction they visited upon Minneapolis happen on the streets I grew up in...
For all the paid rioters, I’m just not seeing the organic addition of supporters. There simply isn’t much outside of looting going on. I think Soros, et al., thought if they could seed a few cities with rioting that others would naturally join in, but it isn’t happening.

People I care about in NW WI were sending me social media posts threatening to go *up North* and over the border yesterday. Many there work in The Cities (up to 1 1/2 hr commutes each way)and the 2nd/3rd shifts have no way in with interstate closures.
