[I guess they are learning their lesson about opening stores in the inner city and in downtown areas.]
The rioters will learn their lesson when those stores never reopen, the storefronts remain burned-out and they have to go miles out of their way to shop. Most of these business owners don’t open there because the choices before them are so wonderful. These are dangerous areas, and these riots have once again reminded them of that fact. I read somewhere that after the LA riots, half of the businesses failed to reopen, and locals had to travel much further to shop for the basics.
