You are right about consequences, but not on lessons learned - because of course they will then blame their desolate neighborhoods on “institutional racism”.

There are plenty of cities that never recovered from the riots in the 1960s, especially in the Northeast.

It would be interesting to start a website like Deadmall.com that highlights the property lots in these cities which have had no taxes paid on them since then. The ongoing dollar value in wasted tax opportunities (in addition to the lost employment and GDP opportunities) needs to be attached to these Democrat politicians forever.
