Several people are being arrested between Centenial Olympic Park and the CNN sign. Charges are unknown. There is a strong police presence here.
@FOX5Atlanta
For those of around in 68.....where there this many riots ongoing at the same time or was s spread out over time?
They didn’t have the instant media and social media back then so i was wondering
Pittsburgh got ugly fast......8 bus loads of people were seen on the turnpike going into Pittsburgh early today....no doubt outsider antifah and anarchists were on the way in....they should have just stopped those buses. 8:30 curfew now imposed for tonight....likely they’ll try to ignore it but the police officials have said they’re taking back their city and the state police are also on the way in....so this isn’t over by any means in Pitt.

Thank you.
The riots of 68 were more violent, but were spread out over a longer time, and against a backdrop of unsettling events around the world, maybe worse than now.
But in 68, there were far fewer cities in America where this would have been allowed to happen.
Where’s Lightfoot? Riots & she’s nowhere to be found.
Watch LA - they’ve been given a 10 minute warning just now to disburse or they get a paddy wagon bus ride. Crowd doesn’t seem interested in moving.

Yes, “there’s the rub “
The Democrats are going to have to get into costume again and pretend to be ‘rightwing protesters.’
The riots of 68 were more violent, but were spread out over a longer time....
tonight will be the worst riots in American History volume wise then
As you state, there was no instant media during those times. Local TV stations had no satellite uplink capability so they relied on reporters traveling with a camera crew and they had to rush the tapes to the studio to make the 6 o'clock or 11 o'clock news program.
That's another thing. There was no 24/7 news coverage like we have today. The major networks would have a half-hour broadcast at dinner time and that was it. Local news was on at 6 and 11pm. If you missed it, you'd have to tune in the next day.
garcetti just declared a curfew in the central part of the city
smashing windows in Buffalo NY now
