Four Silicon Valley billionaires in particular are trailblazing an effort to help the Democratic Party with obtaining more data by creating start ups and tech tools specifically to rival Republicans in that field, according to nearly two dozen interviews conducted by Vox's digital news arm Recode.
LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, philanthropist and Steve Jobs' widower Laurene Powell Jobs and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt are all behind this effort to help defeat Donald Trump.

thing is, they’re supporters of Bernie/communism/nazi leftism even though they’d be the very first to have their money taken away if they ever got their way in WashDC. comment: it was similar situation in Europe of the 1930’s where some very wealthy people supported Hitler only to wind up having their money taken away from them (and/or gassed)

it is odd that some rich people (of all nationalities) advocate things that are not only destructive to the societies that enabled them to acquire their wealth, but things that lead to their own personal destruction too. Is there some sort of suicide wish amongst some of the rich, or what is their psychiatric/mental problem anyway?

This is nothing new from these scumbags. I remember when Schmidt was in HRC’s sky-box on election night laughing and sipping champagne and having a great time until he wasn’t.

Some liken Trumps concerns as if it were govt interference in private businesses. Pres Trump, as the Executive, is responsible for enforcing the law. He is also given latitude to not enforce the law, at his discretion. So he would possibly be able to decide to no longer enforce the law for Twitter or Facebook.
Publicly-held companies interferring in US elections should have their stick exchange trading suspended.

I'm sorry to see Steve Jobs' billions wasted in this way. He was Democrat-aligned and donated directly to some campaigns but he was not a radical political activist. Considering all of these folks are ideologically on the side of loathing the "Citizen's United" case they have no qualms of operating in a manner inconsistent with that view. For a party allegedly about one-person-one-vote, why are these billionaires OK to funnel unchecked sums into advocacy propaganda for their candidates and causes.
Interestingly, Steve was adamantly in favor of school choice and education reforms that were anything but a Democrat issue. He saw it in business terms and thought the education consumer (the student/parent) should be placed in charge of where their education dollars are spent in order to foster competition among schools.
Contributions in kind. Start the prosecutions.
The vast majority of tech. billionaires were always behind Biden/demonrat party.
They like their positions of privilege, and they intend to keep you and me from getting anywhere near them. The more restriction on us, the better, as far as these people are concerned.
