For months, President Trump has promoted hydroxychloroquine as a potential treatment for covid-19, calling the anti-malarial drug a “game changer,” asking patients, “What do you have to lose?” — and even announcing that he was taking the drug himself in an attempt to ward off the novel coronavirus.
On Monday, however, the World Health Organization announced it had temporarily halted its global trial of the drug, citing a new study that found a significantly higher risk of death among those taking hydroxychloroquine or the closely related drug chloroquine.

I’m reading this article and read something totally different yesterday which did NOT indicate the combo as nevermore.

people are being cured all over the world by, primarily, the medicine that has been around for over half a century while WHO never once said a peep, not one “Boo” even, about it being “dangerous”... WHO only spews this nonsense when its discovered that this well-known medicine (that millions of people have received for other issues) can help people get well from, defeat the Virus from Communist China. Its as clear as a bell who WHO is working for, and it ain’t us and it ain’t USA and it sure ain’t any of the folks who caught this Virus, that’s for sure!
There are two forces that are opposed to this drug and it has nothing to do with its effectiveness. This drug is used to treat malaria and lupus and has been used safely for 65 years. If there is any threat it is because those running the study are not conducting the study properly. Throughout Africe this drug is being used almost exclusively to treat Covid 19 and in central Africa where Malaria is common there are almost no deaths from Covid 19. Pharmaceuticals and those invested in a risky vaccine do NOT want any alternatives to be good enough. Many see Covid as a way to increase international and political power much as they saw Global Warming before.
I guess all the Lupus and RA patients should be taken off the drug then, right?
Because the drug knows what you are using it for, and if you use it for what Orange Man said to use it for, the drug will kill you righteously.

Let’s see. Thousands of people have taken this drug for years with no apparent dangerous side effects and all of a sudden WHO discovers it is dangerous. More globalist BS!
Isn’t it interesting that MSN left out this part: “Tedros emphasized that both hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine are accepted as “generally safe” treatments for people with malaria or auto-immune diseases.”
Meanwhile, Washington University in St. Louis is continuing its chloroquine testing.
Since HCQ has been in use for over 65 years and has been used by hundreds of millions of people in Africa and Asia for malaria (including me when I was in Africa), with no problems whatsoever, perhaps WHO will show us the mass graves of all these people who allegedly died from the use of this “dangerous drug”.

The registry comprised data from 671 hospitals in six continents. We included patients hospitalised between Dec 20, 2019, and April 14, 2020, with a positive laboratory finding for SARS-CoV-2.”
I don’t know about other countries, but in the US to even get tested one had to be very symptomatic, to get hospitalized one had to be very ill. In other words this is a retrospective study of those past early intervention when HCQ works best. Sorta like the VA retrospective study of patients at death’s door.
