'It was the single dumbest decision anyone could make': More than 4,300 recovering coronavirus patients were sent to New York nursing homes under Gov Cuomo's directive that the facilities could not reject anyone

More than 4,300 recovering coronavirus patients were sent to New York's already vulnerable nursing homes.

The state directive, which said nursing homes could not refuse to accept patients from hospitals who had been diagnosed with COVID-19, was issued on March 25.

It was ultimately scrapped amid widespread criticism that it was accelerating the nation's deadliest outbreak.

The Associated Press compiled its own tally to find out how many coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals to nursing homes after New York's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene declined to release its internal survey conducted two weeks ago.

“it’s being treated like wearing white socks with dress slacks.”

Yes, what they call “inappropriate”.

“Joey wore a Metallica t-shirt to church on Sunday. It was inappropriate.”

“The Soviets killed 4 million peasants by starving them. That was inappropriate.”

Cuomo is a brilliant man. He did not miss the opportunity. A little genocide in nursing homes and retirees in general will help the budget.

He's not stupid, and he certainly, one highly suspects, knew the potential and really unthinkable consequences of his considered actions.

Older Americans are more likely to be a burden on services, have greater recollections of how great America was in the post war boom, have greater senses of Family, Honor, Duty, and Responsibility, and are more likely to vote Republican.

Additionally, older Americans were much more likely to take shocked offense at Mister Cuomo's choice of words when he insulted them and our way of life by asserting "...America was never that great."

Epidemiologists will be able to look back and determine if any or just how many icky, horrible deaths resulted from Mister Cuomo's choice.

Perhaps psychologists will be able to determine why and also why he is not at all bothered, conscience-wise. (That Cuomo blames DJT will help the diagnoses, one supposes.)

“TRUMP’S CDC” guidelines. Ergo-—Trump’s fault. See. So easy an assclown can do it.

Wow, you break it down in to a simple statement like that, and it sure has echos of those sittings in the docks at Nuremberg, doesn't it? I wonder how leftist in New York feel about the fact their Gov can't even stand up for therm in a life and death situation against the man he pro ports to, and they do despise? Sad thing is that a majority of New Yorkers will/would vote for him again, even in the face of the fact he can't/won't protect them.

Someone should ask Cuomo about the changes Medicare and Medicaid made back in March.

Something else that needs to be addressed: when the nursing homes could have regised, they didn’t. They could have fought Cuomo’s diktat in court, in the media. They didn’t.

Why?

Nursing homes are very reliant on the government. Period. The majority of their patients are medicaid/medicare.

You don’t bite the hand that feeds you. However, doom on them for not screaming about this. I did see one nursing home director from New York on Fox who said he did protest it, but not sure what came of that.

Michael Goodwin - columnist for the New York Post had a lot of coverage about this if you want to go back and read it. If anyone registered protests it would have been him as he was the journalist who started covering this first.

They use ‘inapropriate’ to describe rape/forced sexual penetration also, like as in Joe Biden.

Maybe it wasn't dumb.

The Democrats also made the "decision" to deny doctors HCQ malaria drug,
in use for decades, to treat CV-19 patients.

Maybe both of these "decisions" were made deliberately by Democrats.

Is it completely out of the question that they might have wanted to increase the body count/increase the fear/increase the length of shutdown, in order to inflict maximum damage on Americans, so they are forced to depend on government/Democrats?

It was intentional. Cuomo was trying to pump up the number of dead to hurt Trump and the economy. The democratic party has always wanted to wipe out old people, so this gave them a two fer in their own minds.

No.

Not dumb.

Coldly calculated.

It was deliberate mass murder to blame on Orange Man Bad.

What’s a few tens of thousands of eggs that were going to break soon anyway if we can taste the omelet of victory in November?

I saw a clip of andy the other night being ‘perfectly clear’ that he was following “TRUMP’S CDC” guidelines. Ergo-—Trump’s fault.

This classic passing of the buck is transparent to even the most ardent democrats who haven't gone completely off the rails. The hard-core leftists who blame President Trump for everything will never see the light so there is no use in trying to convince them otherwise.

How many times has cuomo mentioned the CDC in his daily pressers over the last few weeks? How many times has he called it "Trump's" CDC? He only invoked Trump's name when he wanted to cast some blame away from himself after catching some heat for his initial nursing home policy.

As of today, since 02/01/2020, seventeen thousand and two people have died of Corona virus in New York City. That equates to ten percent of all Corona virus deaths on planet Earth.

New York nursing homes = Final solution showers.

That sums up what happened in NY, NJ and other blue states with Comedictators.
