More than 4,300 recovering coronavirus patients were sent to New York's already vulnerable nursing homes.
The state directive, which said nursing homes could not refuse to accept patients from hospitals who had been diagnosed with COVID-19, was issued on March 25.
It was ultimately scrapped amid widespread criticism that it was accelerating the nation's deadliest outbreak.
The Associated Press compiled its own tally to find out how many coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals to nursing homes after New York's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene declined to release its internal survey conducted two weeks ago.

The Shelter/Stay-at-home Serial Killer Andrew Cuomo:
Most new Covid-19 hospitalizations in New York state are from people who were staying home and not venturing much outside, a “shocking” finding, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday.
The preliminary data was from 100 New York hospitals involving about 1,000 patients, Cuomo said at his daily briefing.
It shows that 66% of new admissions were from people who had largely been sheltering at home. The next highest source of admissions was from nursing homes, 18%.
“If you notice, 18% of the people came from nursing homes, less than 1% came from jail or prison, 2% came from the homeless population, 2% from other congregate facilities, but 66% of the people were at home, which is shocking to us,” Cuomo said.
“This is a surprise: Overwhelmingly, the people were at home,” he added. “We thought maybe they were taking public transportation, and we’ve taken special precautions on public transportation, but actually no, because these people were literally at home.”
They were sheltering in place just as “experts” like Drs. Fauci and Birx and politicians like Andrew Cuomo have been telling us to do, yelling at us to do.

Modern political history 101, clearly teaches us that only mistakes and incompetence achieve higher levels of funding in government. The worse you are at managing government means the better you are at funding more mismanagement in government. Bizarro world? Yes. That’s America.
It has been known for thousands of years that if you sequester normally healthy people into tight confining conditions, diseases crop up.
New York nursing homes = Final solution showers.

They can try to blame Trump, but both Medicare and Medicaid changed regs to allow refusal back in March.

Cuomo’s spin on this is infuriating. “The CDC says we cannot discriminate against a patient due to them having the virus” so “ask Trump.”
Unbelievable. It is a virus not a social justice bias!!! People should be even more angry over this kind of ridiculous deflection.
