Illinois governor's family firm owns stake in companies involved in coronavirus testing

Republicans in Illinois are crying foul that Gov. J.B. Pritzker could be financially benefiting from the coronavirus pandemic following reports that his family’s investment firm has a stake in two companies doing tests for the contagion.

Illinois GOP Chairman Tim Schneider said in a statement to Fox News that the Pritzker Group – the family firm run by the governor’s brothers – “controls the companies that are making millions off the pandemic” and called on the Illinois Democrat to divest any interest he had with the firm.

"Let's be clear - Governor Pritzker and his family are clearly profiting off the COVID-19 crisis, and it's appalling,” Schneider said. “The Pritzker Group controls the companies that are making millions off the pandemic, and the Governor stands to make huge profits.”

The two companies in question are PathGroup, an anatomic, clinical and molecular pathology company that Pritzker’s private capital firm invested in, and Cue Health, a health care technology company that received funding from Pritzker’s venture capital firm. Both companies have recently announced either the development of tests or plans to develop tests to detect COVID-19. This comes as Pritzker's administration pushes to expand testing as part of the state's phased reopening plan.

While neither company has received a contract to conduct testing from the state of Illinois, Cue Health in late March was awarded a $13 million contract by the federal government to develop a test for the novel coronavirus.

Pritzker’s office did not return Fox News’ request for comment, but the governor in the past has argued that he put all his financial assets in a blind trust when he took office. Pritzker comes from a prominent business and philanthropic family that, among other things, owns the Hyatt hotel chain. His personal fortune is valued at around $3.4 billion.

They own Hyatt so expect them to get hurt. And if we stay away from Hyatt we can make it last. Every dime spent at Hyatt goes to the democrat party.

UNLESS THEIR CONGRESS MEMBERS BELIEVE IN ABORTION AND BOYS CLAIMING THEY’RE GIRLS THEIR GONE
That goes with this I predicted the Lipinski loss before all the votes came in: mosesdapoet to PBRCat 3/17 12:12:26 AM
Those who live in Chicago may have already voted at their local public library. In the 3rd Congressional district looks like Lipinski will lose because of redistricting. Which had previously included adjacent Chicago city wards to his 23rd in a district that dealt exclusively with city issues such as a subway L service and the Stevenson Expressway Wards which were reliable Ted’s father supporters but since nost had areas with hispanic last names those areas were redistrcted and assigned to Gutieriez’s district.

Congressman Daniel Lipinski’s father is William Lipinski, a former Chicago alderman and Congressman.

Who is Ted?

If you visit the Pritzker Group’s venture capital web site, a few clicks will show J. B. Pritzker as one of the “Team” leaders.

So much for a blind trust.

Part-time Palm Springs resident Joe Fusco — the one-time head of Al Capone's Prohibition-era beer-manufacturing operation — is seen hosting a meeting with Chicago mobsters Accardo, Rocky Fischetti and Jake Guzik, New York boss Frank Costello, Genovese family associate Phil Kastel and criminal attorney Abe Pritzker. Pritzker is a partner in a Chicago law firm with Stanford Clinton, the general counsel to the Teamsters Pension Fund. Pritzker, Pritzker & Clinton use the Illinois loan company Frontier Finance as a holding company for mob assets, and its president is none other than Frank Buccieri. . .: A haven for mobsters

Your question on who was Daniel Daniel was a prophet Ted was a congressman
The 3rd congressional district had previously included adjacent Chicago city wards to Lipinski’s 23rd ward in a district that dealt exclusively with city issues such as the creation of Orange Line subway L service and the Stevenson Expressway Wards which were reliable Ted’s father William O Lipinski supporters but on post elections supported both Nixon and Reagan but since nost had areas with hispanic last names those areas were redistrcted and assigned to Gutieriez’s district. Which apparently is the result of the turnover in the Freddie and Fanny mortgage collapse

Dan has got little or nothing to do with this outside of his last name why drag that into this ?
That district was originally the 5th. The “Lip” as he was known was an alderman and ward committeeman of the 23rd ward when took that district from Mr Bingo John Fary it was the 5th. Fary who was from the McKinley Park area had a tavern there. Wasn’t happy at his his loss. After I believe the 90 census there was a remap and completely changed the areas and was turned into the 3rd. Ted was the only democrat who voted against allowing Males to compete in girls collegiate sports activities. A FR member also ran for the 5th she got a 40%

Good Lord Your Right ! When I went into those precincts I never used the guys first name enough to get corrected. Actually I don’t believe in creating political dynasties When the Lip pulled that off I was ticked off. The old man William O started out as a member of the 23rd ward Republican organization but as alderman he had city parks named after Revolutionary war battles After he beat Fary and became congressman we did manage to get a Republican elected as alderman and while in congress he did work with Reagan. The ward carried Reagan that’s why they cut it up

During that remap, Illinois lost seats in Congress, and Congressman Marty Russo (who had taken a seat from a one term Republican Congressman, Robert Hanrahan) was the odd man out. Bill Lipinski took over most of his precincts in the new 3rd District.

Historically, there had been a Republican presence in both the 13th and 23rd Wards, but Lipinski and Madigan helped to erase the GOP over time. Both Bill and Dan Lipinski played for Republican cross over votes by being pro-life.

BECAUSE OF THE CRAP THE DEMOCRATS ( IN NAME ONLY) HAVE BEEN PULLING OFF THERE’S A GOOD CHANCE OF SWINGING 12 THE 13TH AND 23 WARDS

I predicted the Lipinski loss before all the votes came in: mosesdapoet to PBRCat 3/17 12:12:26 AM Democrats weren’t happy with his votes on abortion and on being the only democrat to vote NO on allowing men to to call themselves a women and compete with women in college sports.
