The police chief of Houston, Texas, is blaming "spiritual warfare" for a shocking murder Saturday as an 80-year woman described as a "perfect grandma" was allegedly murdered by a career criminal who had been arrested 67 times and was free on bail at the time of the killing.
"There's spiritual warfare going on, not just here but across the world. This is just crazy," said Police Chief Art Acevedo.
"I just want to tell this community we need to pray. We're fortunate that we're led by a mayor and a council that believe in the power of prayer."
"We've got to pray for this city and pray for this nation and pray for this world because you just can't make sense of this. A woman has lost her life because some guy decided he wanted whatever she had on her. To think that a guy stabbed a little old lady, I can't tell you the emotions I'm feeling right now."

He’s black she’s white...just sayin’.
Praying, no, one man with cajones and a .45, send this human scum to God.
they apparently aren’t blessed by a mayor and police chief and court that have common sense and administer actual justice.
One must wonder why mediatards and libtards don’t react with the same zeal when the racial crimes are black on white.
We know, of course but its a good question to pose to them and expose their yet another inherent liberal bias.
Why was a person arrested 67 times free on bail?
Were supposed to pray about this? Shall we pray for a justice system that locks people up before they get to 67 arrests?
Was this Judge Moye again?
A couple things:
1. Natual Born Killers have been with us since antiquity:
“Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood;
let us ambush the innocent without reason;
like Sheol let us swallow them alive,
and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
we shall find all precious goods,
we shall fill our houses with plunder;
throw in your lot among us;
we will all have one purseProverbs 1
2) Their corollary, the demonic Do-Gooder, works alongside them, excusing their acts and furthering their evil under cover of (self) righteousness.
“When you see a thief, you make friends with him, and you associate with adulterers.”Psalm 50:18
There is no point in posing any questions to mediatards or libtards.
They are impervious to facts and reason.
They must be removed, and kept away, from the levers of power everywhere and at all times.
That’s the problem. The media has one way access into almost every home in America and are rarely if ever challenged on what they say. They also rarely if ever apologize for telling out and out lies...and then its a “we’re sorry we got caught” or “your just not intelligent enough to understand what we said” apology that just insults peoples intelligence.
I don’t need prayers and mysticism from the chief cop when he arrests the same guy 67 times and wants it not to be his fault.
From a cop, I want no-nonsense real world results. Not a sermon. If he can’t stop the system from releasing the crook, I want details about who he tried to bring it to the attention of.
Time to start watching out for grandmas no matter where they are in public. Come on Texans, situational awareness when you can! Shoot those guys when they start to rob granny. And, more grannies need to carry.
Perhaps if Acevedo and the powers that be would govern with their intellect instead of their emotions, this lady would still be alive.
Prayer is not substitute for keeping dangerous people locked up.
Artice doesn’t say who the judge was...of course.
Love that Houston Tx police Chief Art Acevedo, if anyone can straighten out that City he can.
Says the high sheriff of Sodom. His hypocrisy knows no bounds.
This is as bad as it gets (senseless tragedy). The sidebar is far more sanguine: I had no idea Houston was being led, at least in part, by godly people. I’m at least encouraged by that.
I saw the headline and thought this would be another funny story from some west or east africa s-—thole.
Not too far from wrong...
