Attorney General Bill Barr on Monday said he does not expect U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review into the origins of the Russia probe will lead to a “criminal investigation” of either former President Barack Obama or former Vice President Joe Biden -- while noting that their concern of “potential criminality” in the conduct of that probe is “focused on others.”
Barr, during a press conference on Monday, spoke at length about Durham investigation. He said he has a “general idea” of how the investigation is going, and confirmed that “some aspects are being investigated as potential crimes.”
Barr did say, however, that “not every abuse of power, no matter how outrageous, is necessarily a federal crime.”
“As for President Obama and Vice President Biden, whatever their level of involvement based on what I know, I don’t expect Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man,” Barr said. “Our concern of potential criminality is focused on others.”

He never defended the woman arrested in TX and is ignoring the Oregon woman.
This is a easy job...sit around, eat and look important.
So he and his turds can carry on trying to overthrow a duly , elected government.
I see this differently. This could be Barr setting the stage for whatever happens.
He plays nonchalantly, to diffuse the “witch hunt” aspect that you know the left will scream.
If O and B committed crimes, Durham and Barr will treat them accordingly.
May be wishful thinking, but I’d do the same thing, if I were Barr.
At the very least, they should be unindicted co-conspirators.
I eagerly await the day when people realize that running politicians out in handcuffs is not in the interest of ANY politician. Which means it's not going to happen. They want your money and your vote. And they will say anything to get either. That's all it's about.
I've assumed that since the beginning of this mess. The "probe" will, as you say, find breaches of protocol and procedures and then make recommendations on how to "improve the process to ensure greater accountability going forward" or some such BS. In other words, the agencies will be "indicted" instead of the people who perpetrated this grotesque abuse of power.
Just another kabuki dance meant to distract us and make us think someone will be held accountable.
Yep, we are officially a banana republic now. Our government is corrupt and unaccountable.
Go after the Tier 2 and the Tier 3 deepstaters who formed the footsoldiers in this and you can jail and ruin people who never thought they could be held accountable and never had the best for the American people in mind.
Get enough of them and Obama and Biden will fall.
Yet 5 minutes after Trump is out of office they will find a way to charge him with a crime and try and put him in Prison for the rest of his live.
If the Fed won’t do it, the State of NY will do it for sure.
Turning the other cheek with this people will never work. Their hatred is bone deep.
What did I just say about this? 98% of the GOP will not fully prosecute a Dem. It’s not just the Dems themselves who observe the double standard. Ask Lindsey Graham or The Turtle about it. This habit has become ingrained in the GOP party.
Perhaps the habit is generational and will fade over the next 10 years.

That’s pretty much all that official Washington ever does. All rhetoric all the time.
No surprise here. Yet they’ll have Trump and/or his family in chains the next day after a DemoRat is ever sworn in.
Tend to agree.
IF (a big IF) a lot underlings get very long prison sentences, that would be a great incentive for bureaucrats to refuse shady orders or actually whistle blow.
But I’m doubtful even that will happen.
