With the nation in the middle of a horrendous pandemic, President Donald Trump has decided to devote much of his time fueling the "Obamagate" conspiracy. Trump went on a Twitter rampage this past week, sharing falsehoods and misleading claims that promote the conspiracy theory that former President Barack Obama led a supposed "coup" to sabotage his presidency.
But when a Washington Post reporter pressed Trump earlier this week to explain what Obama did, the President failed to clarify and said, "You know what the crime is. The crime is obvious to everybody. All you have to do is read the newspapers, except yours."
What's clear is that President Trump is attacking Obama with the goal of discrediting his opponent in 2020: Joe Biden. Trump understands that he will never be a widely beloved public figure -- he is more like the long list of "heels" in professional wrestling who gain their fame by stirring the fans to boo them.
President Trump's response is predictable -- he's going after Obama to undermine the foundation of Biden's reputation. By painting the Obama administration as corrupt and Nixonian, Trump may be trying to cast Biden as a new Spiro Agnew, Nixon's vice president who resigned in 1973 due to a tax evasion scandal.
Of course, the problem is that Obama wasn't corrupt and there isn't evidence that the previous administration was involved in some grand effort to set Trump up as a Russian stooge. Whatever one thinks of his policies and leadership, Obama's administration was also remarkably free from major scandals especially compared with other Presidents in recent times.
The "Obamagate" conspiracy theory needs to be understood in the context of the 2020 election. It is Trump's attempt to rewrite the history.

I was just channel surfing and briefly happened by CNN and they were discussing this. And in the middle was John King who, IIRC, a few years ago drew attention and concern from even CNN’s higher ups that he was so pro Obama that that could affect his objectivity in reporting so to speak. Great way to handle this topic CNN, lol.
The crime is treason and destruction of the US Constitution.
The penalty should be execution.

Why is there no discussion of all of the intradepartmental changes in policy on sharing information that Obama was doing between November and January 2016 to 2017? They were scrambling with all sorts of plans. Which is why Joe Biden looked at the name two weeks before leaving office.
What is Trump trying to achieve? HUH? How about the rule of law. Oh, DUH! I forgot that trying to “prove” anything against the obxxx administration would be racis’. “How dare you?!”

Now, admittedly, I haven’t read this CNN article, so I’ll take a crack at answering the headline question “What’s he trying to achieve?”
* Justice for the culprits.
* Restoration of the Rule of Law.
* End the two-tier justice system.
* End the unelected, perpetual “swamp” critters control of our lives.
* Save the Republic.

Trump will just have to keep using the bully pulpit to hammer Obamagate wrong doings home. The ChiCom paid propaganda machine will run in circles coming up with excuses.
FBI married, cheating lovers Stroke and Page rewrote the 302 to frame Flynn as lying to the FBI. They manufactured evidence. How many laws did they break? A 1000? Why? Obama ordered the FBI to lock up and silence Flynn to clear the way for the CIA to take out Trump. Obama is a traitor.
