There's really nothing worse than neighbors ratting out neighbors. But that's what Democrats are urging citizens to do across the country. And more often than not innocent Americans are getting caught in the cross-hairs.
Sheila Perez Smith tells "The Todd Starnes Show" that she was stunned when the police showed up at her home near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Smith's 7-year-old son had just completed a Zoom class from the den of their home when she received an urgent email from her son's first-grade teacher.
It just so happened that the little boy had recently been gifted a toy gun, and the child had placed his "new favorite thing" on the table next to the computer.
"Another parent had been very uncomfortable by the fact that the gun had been in view of the Zoom call," Mrs. Smith said on my radio show. "It's such an innocent thing that someone used to make a judgment and an accusation."
A few hours after they received the email, there was a knock at the front door. It was the police.
"The police officer came to our door right after breakfast and asked us to step outside of our home as a result of the Zoom call," she told me.
Mrs. Smith's husband tried to explain to the officer that there were no guns in the house other than the toy gun their son had received.
"He essentially lectured us on child safety and the fact that our children are too young to interact with any guns and weapons," she said.
The officer said it did not matter that it was a toy gun, and he continued to lecture the couple.

Should’ve lectured him in turn, about the Constitution and the oath he swore.
Now that right there is scary.
That kid is going to need mandatory time in the Drag Queen Story Hour Zoom meeting to get his head right.
The cop is probably performing.
Owwwwwww!
Would a slammed door in the face of the thug cop be too much ?.
A “toy gun” is not a gun. It is a REPLICA of a gun. A replica is not the thing it is a replica of. Elementary logic.
What they have criminalized is the THOUGHT of a gun in the mind of honest, non-violent people because their intention is to take guns from honest, non-violent people while deliberately leaving them in the hands of violent criminals.
The Karens called the cops because they thought the kid would kill them through the computer connection?
I agree. Get a warrant and don’t talk to them. Get a lawyer.
Refuse to participate in ANY Zoom lectures.
Yes, there is so much wrong with it that it is unbelieveable...in other words, this is B.S. police have better things to do with their time then respond phone complaints about something seen in a Zoom chat to lecture people at the home on the appropriateness of allowing children to play w/ toy guns. Come on people...really.
The teacher two things
1. My child will not participate in any more Zoom session with a fool like you moderating.
2. Tell the teacher to go Epstien herself.
Cops are not your friend.
And neither is many in the military.
They follow orders.
When we see, as we have, police storming church services to “protect the public”, the US experiment is over.
Plan your path accordingly. We have maybe 10 years.
They're just following the tradition started in Germany, France, Holland, etc during the 40's "Turn in that Jew." Such people should be (well I can't say what I think should happen to them on a law abiding forum). As far as the thug cop goes, by definition those cops who go about enforcing unconstitutional decrees are no different than NKVD, Gestapo, STASI, milice, etc. Same thing should happen to them. I noticed one cop who stood up for the constitution was fired, but he was the ONLY ONE in the entire USA.
And then the thugs get a warrant and kill your dog, and maybe your kid.
Or they go to the wrong address and kill someone else.
Im trying to figure out what kind of toy gun were talking about here...
If its something like a nerf gun - this story is completely off its rocker.
If its a completely realistic replica toy I could at least understand the call and possibly the cops lecture, though even if it were the cop sounds power crazed.
Tell the cop to get off your porch and mind his own damned business. If I want to give my kid the proper and correct way to handle a weapon, then I WILL!!! My dad gave me these lessons when I was in grammar school. The only people I have ever shot at were the VC and NVA. I haven’t been down to the local schools, churches, Jewish centers, moskies, or any other place and shot those places up. Nope, haven’t even had the thoughts and I have fired a few thousands of shots over these past 70+ years and no kids, churches, stores, nothing. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. With cars, knives, booze, drugs, guns, rocks, sticks, iron bars, throwing them off a building top, jumping from a bridge, drowning in the bath tubs, cutting their throats, you get the deal. Not just guns. People.
Oh I believe it - just search up instance of your local, friendly, government child protective services and their gestapo tactics.
Sounds like next time, Dad needs to be in the background cleaning the real thing, or better yet, having his son help during class.
There's a reason the po-po asks you to step outside of your home.
The proper response here is, "no thank you Officer, I'm good where I'm at".
I had my very own .22 by the time I was 7.
In my closet.
