President Donald Trump has suggested multiple times that a coronavirus vaccine could come within months, an accelerated timeline that prominent health experts and veteran vaccine developers say is unlikely absent a miracle.
"We're looking to get it by the end of the year if we can, maybe before," Trump said Friday during in a Rose Garden event centered on his administration's efforts to fast-track a vaccine.
“Vaccine work is looking VERY promising, before end of year,” Trump tweeted on Thursday.
“I think it’s possible you could see a vaccine in people’s arms next year — by the middle or end of next year. But this is unprecedented, so it’s hard to predict,” said Dr. Paul Offit, a professor at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Walter Orenstein, a professor at Emory University and the associate director of the Emory Vaccine Center, said a vaccine in less than a year would be “miracle.”
While technically possible, he added, it is unlikely.
“There’s a lot of things that could go wrong,” Orenstein said.

It is impossible to “fact check” a wish. Trump didn’t predict anything, as the media is saying! I heard his words! When the media can’t attack his words, they change his words to something they can rip to shreds.
Absolutely not. You’re really missing what is happening here.
Trump has in one fell swoop seized the entire China Virus control process out of the hands of the CDC and “medical experts” and put it in the hands of the military.
By announcing “Warp Speed,” he gives all indications there is an a-bomb like project on this, when in fact he (and the military) know there is no vaccine. If it stayed in the hands of the CDC, they would keep us locked down. This way, Trump assures the public that we are working very fast on a VOLUNTARY (you missed that) vaccine, while knowing it won’t even exist.
Within three months, both the “vaccine” and the flu—having played itself out—will simply be forgotten in most places. It was really quite brilliant.
The punch line is: Even with a vaccine.. thousands will die from this, or other viruses, a every year.
And thousands upon thousand will die from other things that possibly could have been prevented if only the G’mint would spend 10-15 trillion dollars every year to stop them from happening.
Global warming is going to kill us all ..in what 9 years now..unless we elect Joke Biden for President in 2020 and 2024!

I was referring to Democrats as well. who with no cognitive dissonance at all proclaim “He’s a racist for shutting down people coming from China (An infected area) and He didn’t do enough early on. So two groups.
PDJT is portrayed as wrong regardless of what he does. If he said, as they claim to believe, “We’re all gonna die!” then they complain he was too negative.
It is simply evil to joy in the man’s optimism (I’d say this if Obama was still president saying the same things Trump is saying) when him being wrong means 10,000 or 100,000’s of people are going to die.
We should all hope he is right, even if you don’t like the guy. That democrats can’t do that just proves how evil they are.
Personally, next year may be a better time to make this statement.

Ever notice that whenever you see a “Fact Check” article its always going to be anti-Trump?
This company called Altimune, ticker ALT developed a sars vaccine and they have tweeked it to fight covid 19. It’s in phase 1 testing, phase 2 people testing I think is scheduled for September. So if they start production before they get approval and if all goes well, they will already have the vaccine ready when they get approval. It’s a little risky but it’s possible.
Why do you say there is no vaccine? There’s plenty of them being tested right now. One is ALT or Altimune. I own some stock and don’t want to come off as trying to pump it. They have a vaccine in testing as do several other companies in that sector.
Caution.
There’s never been a vaccine for any kind of coronavirus, and they’ve been worked on extensively in the case of coronaviruses in poultry.
