At his May 12 press conference, Washington State Governor Jay Inslee laid out the plans for the statewide contact tracing initiative.
“[The initiative] is robust, it is vigorous and it is comprehensive, and it needs to be all three to be successful,” Inslee said.
“If we do not succeed in this second stage of our efforts, this virus could come bright back and bite us.”
As LynnwoodTimes.com’s Luke Putvin notes, the information Inslee provided was labeled as “Contact Tracing: Box in The Virus.” The steps were listed as follows:
Contact tracing involves interviewing people with positive COVID-19 tests to identify who they’ve been in contact with, getting those people tested and then making sure they isolate themselves and their families.
As the press conference went on, one question kept coming up – what about enforcement? How will you ensure residents comply and what if they don’t?
The answer is as scary as many have worried about. As Putvin reports, for those businesses/individuals that don’t comply, the governor stated that he confirmed with Attorney General Bob Ferguson, there will be sanctions in civil or criminal court.

When it comes to contact tracing, how are you guys going to handle people or families who want to refuse to test or to self isolate?
If they want to leave their home to get groceries I know you’ve said they can’t do that; how will you make sure they don’t?

Correct. Certain states and cities have "banned" people driving in their cars for so-called "COVID car parades." That's how fearful they are of revolt against their "authority." Heil Whitmer in Michigan said the other day she may expand and prolong her illegal lockdown orders, all because people had the nerve to challenge her.

I wear a mask in stores. But I can see the stupidity and fear as people wear masks while in the great outdoors, while driving or walking. How dumb can you get?
Covid transmission outdoors is one thousandth as likely as indoors. I say it is extremely difficult to get infected outdoors unless you have someone sneeze right in your face.
There are other ways to enslave us than brute, physical force.
For instance, they can say that no one can access their Social Security or Medicare unless they have ID2020.
If a Pelosi or Whitmer were President, they would do that in a heartbeat.
For millions of citizens, that is Game, Set, and Match.

I seriously don’t wear a mask outdoors. It’s OUTDOORS.* I only wear the obnoxious mask to the grocery store — probably where some of the masked drivers are going — in case I picked it up somehow, to help keep me from spreading it to other people.
As that one person (above) showed, it’s almost impossible to do good contact tracing of the order Insleaze wanted. If you get symptomatic, just tell your doctor who you remember coming in contact with, and he’ll just get the health department to utilize the device invented by Alexander Graham Bell to get them to self-isolate for awhile. No worries, and that should slow the virus down some without all the app-driven tracing and refusal to allow people falling outside the telephone circuit (above) to go grocery shopping. If you’re wearing a mask to the store in case you have it, that should be good enough.
*Outdoors, it’s easier to avoid other people and thus to avoid either getting it or giving it.

I drove along County Line road between Marion and Johnson counties 2 days ago. (Was at a funeral where most of the more than 25 people were without masks).
The restaurants on the south side of the street could be open; the ones on the north could not.

I was thinking about my Bug-Out-Bag the other day. Bugging out is a great strategy when you need to leave an area for a disaster or other reasons.

Facebook has been contact tracing for years. I was subbing at a school and had to go let a child in the building because the child was tardy. The mom and I exchanged hellos and were in contact about ten seconds. That evening, I looked at Facebook and it had the mom as a person I might know. She couldn’t look me up because I was a sub. She was or is Chinese. I’ve seen the woman since then, and every time, I get a friend suggestion.
my support people will be very busy..i am forgetful and they may need to make several trips a day..also how do we know the support people are not infected? are they going to leave groceries and medicine outside my house? what if they get stolen? they sure as heck aren’t coming in...
