At this point it might be best to allow the left to show their true colors

Gleeson resigned in 2016 and went to private practice. Gleeson stepped away completely. This is usually done if the judge believes he can earn more $$ away from the bench.

Thanks for that input. I was unaware that Gleason had stepped entirely away from his title and power as a Federal Judge Emeritus. If so, OK. However, he still does not have adversarial status as an agent of the Government in the Flynn case. He at most is an Amicus for his own viewpoint, his political opinion, on the Flynn case. Why is he being given this exalted soapbox over others to argue his political philosophy?

The decision issued by the Supreme Court last week that the US DOJ is in a better position to know their case than the supposedly independent judge about the merits of their case, should be the controlling factor here, not some whim of Sullivan’s to bring in outside amicus opinions to help him decide whether or not to continue prosecution.

That judge looks like and acts like the judge that sent the TX hairdresser to jail... both are full of themselves..black demorats and know nothing better than to be biased and against anything Trump. they are ugly people to not have a bit of compassion for anyone or anything...

And...the you know what is hitting the fan today and it’s a joyous thing to see the lies tumble and the faces gone... 4 years they put the country through lie after lie and it’s now coming home to roost!

judicial misconduct?? Isn’t there a constitutional means of removing him through the SCOTUS??

Let it leak that Barr will seek indictments after either dismissal or after a presidential pardon of Flynn, and he expects Sullivan will be very embarrassed if he does not grant the motion to dismiss, once the bad actors behind the charges against Flynn get indicted.

"If over ruled a number of times, many in the profession of law just laugh about it."

And from what I've read, prosecutorial malfeasance is rarely ever punished, so they just continue with their underhanded, illegal activities.

Thanks AJ -

We crossed on the ethers as I was doing some looking for Gleeson. You are absolutely correct. Seems like I saw a blurb on that SCOTUS case last week. I was stunned then, as I am now.

It’s got to be Lawfare at work with the Amicus participation, and now this knuckleball.

Things like this are not immediately appealable. He’d have to wait until the case is over. Delay of months at least. Pardon now, I don’t care nor will any rational person, it’s obviously political

Actually, you can appeal things that have immediate damage potential. This meets that definition.

"I can see the possibility of this judge being removed or resigning."

He ought to be removed to a jail cell, or in the least, a psycho ward.

... if I claim I murdered Brad Pitt, they won't convict me. Sure, I pled guilty. But there was no crime.

What if they waterboarded you first, and got you to confess? And then said, "Oops, he confessed under torture, we have exculpatory evidence. Sorry for the mistake?"

For Flynn the torture was legal and financial, and he was basically forced to withdraw from public life to save his son from a clearly vindictive prosecution after spending his life savings. Does his "confession" have weight or was it coerced?

I would have thought that once the charges were dropped that there would be no basis for any verdict, even a guilty plea and the judge would have no say in the matter.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

This is going to be the beginning stage of what is about to come.

Do you choose to fight now, while you have a chance or later when the odds are against you?

The Judge asks Mr. Flynn,”Were you lying then, or are you are you lying now?” I am sure that he said,”Raise your right hand, Mr. Flynn.” recited or read the Oath of Affirmation, and asked, “Mr, Flynn, how do you plead”? Is your plea voluntarily?” “Do you plead guilty because are guilty?”
Nothing is as simple as it seems.
Murphy’s Law.

Never say never.

Rush was talking today about why Obama would be untouchable. His point is that if you go after an ex-president, future Presidents will have their hands effectively tied if the other party took power. I believe Obama is untouchable because any crimes he have committed would have been in the District of Columbia, the majority of whose citizens and potential jurors view him as a demigod.

Maybe after more comes out, President Trump should pardon Obama, just to make the dems’ hair catch on fire.

But when Trump leaves office, I believe this precedent will change. The dems will go after him hammer and tong. They really do want to punish him for winning in 2016 (and hopefully 2020).

Trump always manages to remove masks from those who oppose him.

Good observation.
